Packing list: all you need for 10 days in Europe! ✈️
Part 1: London & Paris
It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks! Between a work trip in San Diego and ten days in Europe, it wasn’t easy to pack. Luckily, the work clothes got shipped back to Portland, and I continued on with a full suitcase of stylish outfits to wear in London, Paris and Cannes.
🤍 London: I got to enjoy a night alone at my favorite boutique hotel in London, Number Sixteen, and catch my breath. I had a lovely dinner, then sat in the hotel’s quaint little garden and reminisced about last summer, when I retrieved my grandfather’s special watercolor paintings that had been lost for over 30 years (more about that here).
🤍 Paris: After a recovery night in London, I met my dear friend in Paris. We stayed at the buzzing Soho House Paris in the once-seedy-now-trending neighborhood called Pigalle. Soho House Paris is a beautifully designed boutique hotel, with a super cool bar/lounge/work area, an impressive art collection, and even a plunge pool. We went on a food tour and took a dinner cruise on the Seine, all while doing “blog research” and getting in a little shopping too!
Today’s post shows you what I packed for 10 days in Europe, beginning with the bigger cities. Preparing for a trip like this can be tricky, since there are many different activities to plan for! But, I thought it might be helpful for you to have a proven reference guide since many of you are traveling to Europe this summer. For packing inspo, I selected pieces from some recent style boards. Of course, I’m also sharing some tips below. Thank you for following along, and happy travels!
Next stop: the Cote d’Azur! Stay tuned for Part 2, where I’ll show you what I wore in Cannes ☀️
Here are the basics you need for perfect packing
For this trip to Europe, I brought along my 30″ Monos suitcase, which for obvious reasons (it’s huge), holds everything 😳 Since I’ve been traveling more than usual, I thought I’d share a few things I never leave home without.
First and foremost, this black scarf that’s super lightweight and works any time of year (but only THIS particular one). The Beis Weekender is another item that comes with me on every trip. If you’re planning to carry it on, make sure not to over pack it so it squishes under the seat.
Also, a portable charger is a MUST, and so is an Apple Air Tag (I slip mine inside my cosmetics bag). Speaking of … this little cosmetics bag is reasonably priced, and I love it. And, as you know, I’m a firm believer in packing cubes. Try either compression ones if you’re tight on space, or these regular ones. I find them to be extremely useful for suitcase organization!
