7 dresses that keep selling out! 🌸

I get lots of DM’s every day (which I absolutely love!), and the single most often asked question is what to wear to different events. Just this week, it was a formal work event, a wedding, a birthday celebration, a cocktail party, and a vacation … to name just a few. And, I always have the same answer: A DRESS!! This is the easiest way to pull a great outfit together, so having a few good dresses in your rotation is key. There are many different styles to choose from, and, in particular, there are 7 dresses that keep selling out … because everyone loves them!

Today’s post is a major dress edit, and I’m sharing with you my favorite trends, as well as some brand new style board inspo. After all, what an easy (and practical) way to get dressed — one piece and you’re done! Who doesn’t love that? Add jackets, accessories, and different styles of shoes to make literally dozens of outfits with just this one piece. Keep reading to see dresses you might want to consider, and all the things that compliment dresses as well. I hope you find a few you love!

P.S. Did you know there’s a shopping app called ShopLTK? I post there regularly, you can find my page here. Often, it’s exclusive content that you won’t find on the blog. Once a week, I share favorites under $100, as well as the Top 10 sellers on So Susie. Moving ahead, I’ll be posting even more on my ShopLTK page — it’s easy to shop, trust me! Which dress is your favorite?

Stop wondering what to wear!

#1 T-shirt dresses keep you in style

Left: J.Crew t-shirt dress | Sandals | L’Agence denim jacket | Basket tote | Right: Michael Stars dress | Sandals | Chloe tote

T-shirt dresses are easy to wear, and they’re also affordable! This is the J.Crew style I’ve had for several years, and every season it sells out. It’s only $69.50, and it’s currently 40% off! This Michael Stars knit dress sold out in green, but I found it back in stock here. For reference, I’m wearing the size small. For other t-shirt dress options, I’m loving this pink one from Evereve and this yellow one by Rails.

#2 LBD — you can never have too many!

Left: ALC Renzo dress | Gucci sandals | Cult Gaia bag | Right: Frame denim jacket | Norma Kamali dress | Valentino bag | Sandals

The ALC Renzo dress is just one of those dresses that looks good on almost everyone! It’s flattering, and it can be worn most seasons to many different kinds of events, including a black tie or cocktail event. There are two versions of this dress — Renzo and Renzo II. Both are great and fit the same, though the neckline is slightly different. If you’d like to wear some color (instead of black), look at this pretty red one and this beautiful lavender one.

Another all time favorite dress is the Norma Kamali strapless knit dress. It’s $125, and also works for many different occasions. Wear a leather jacket, blazer or denim jacket over if you’re like me and prefer not to show your arms 😉 (sometimes we’re feelin’ it, sometimes we’re not!) And, don’t forget the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless bra — it’s a stylist favorite!

#3 Classic Slip dresses

Left: Veronica Beard blazer | Vince slip dress | Right: L’Agence slip dress | Sweater | Sandals | Chloe tote

I love slip dresses, and find them to be really versatile and easy to wear. This week, someone asked if they’ll still be in style again this year. And I answered: absolutely! They’re pretty much classics at this point, so if you have any in your closet, keep them 😉 You’ll often see me wearing a lightweight cashmere sweater over my shoulders, or any kind of a jacket.

The Almighty Vince: If you were to just choose one, hands down, I’d go with the Vince slip dress. It’s cut on the bias, which is extra flattering, and you’ll wear it to many different kinds of events. You can dress it up or down, depending on the accessories you choose. For other best-selling options, I love the styles at J.Crew, including this new print one, and this one in bright pretty colors.

#4 Pretty Floral dresses keep trending

Left: Cara Cara cotton dress | Larroude sandals | Right: Rails dress | Larroude sandals | Sweater over shoulders | Gucci bucket bag

Floral prints are definitely personal preference, and you either love them or you don’t! I’m loving the brand Cara Cara, and there were two I had my eye on that sold out quickly (I’ll let you know if they come back in stock). I just spotted this new one and this one too — don’t wait if you love them. Also, this new Rails dress is really  pretty, and I noticed on the website it only had two stars … don’t know why. I love it, the fit is super slimming and you can find other styles here.

#5 Cute Striped dresses

Left: Veronica Beard striped dress | Sandals | Right: Steve Madden striped dress | Sandals | Bucket bag | Bracelet

Shirt dresses are another classic style to own. These two striped dresses couldn’t be more different in price, but both are so cute! Pair them with straw totes and neutral sandals for a sophisticated, elevated look. For other options, look at this navy one (it has gold buttons even though the photo shows tonal buttons). I also like this one by Frank & Eileen for a more casual look — you can keep this one in your summer rotation for sure!

#6 Colorful Orange dresses

Left: Rails dress | Sandals | Loewe tote | Right: Staud dress | Larroude sandals | Loewe tote

Orange is a trending color right now, and I’m seeing it everywhere from Lululemon (just bought this sweatshirt) to Naghedi (look at this tote) to dresses like the Rails and Staud I’m wearing above. Just today, I spotted this one on the J.Crew website and this Rails print one. If you love any shade of orange, check these out! Very springy and fun.

#7 Zimmermann dresses keep making the list

Zimmermann dress, similar | Sandals | YSL bag

If you’re up for a splurge, my absolute favorite dress brand right now is Zimmermann. I just purchased this one for an upcoming special event (my nephew is getting married), and if I could, I’d purchase this one, this one AND this one! They’re so pretty, and perfect for any special events you might have this spring or summer.
