Here they are: the top items you loved in 2022!

Top items 2022: Ulla Johnson blouse | Mother Insider’s | Pointy toe boots | Chanel 19 bag | Michele watch | Jenny Bird bracelet

Here they are: the top items you loved in 2022!

One of the things I love the most about this little sliver of the internet is connecting with all of you. Almost every day, I receive the sweetest comments … and it’s truly what keeps me going! Yesterday on IG stories, I shared “Day 4” of my “30 Days of Getting Out of a Rut,” and had nothing to say — because I was in a rut all day 😂 Does that ever happen to you?

Tonight I was making dinner (in my pj’s), and my husband reminded me of a conversation he overheard months ago at the driving range. He’s a not one to eavesdrop, but there was a small group of women golfing, and he heard one of them say to the other, “I like your sweater.” And she replied, “thank you, I got it from So Susie!” Apparently, they continued to share their So Susie purchases before getting back to golf. That really made my night!

It’s simple things like that conversation that bring me so much joy in my work. I’ve always vowed to be 100% authentic on this platform, sharing only things I love, helped someone with, or own myself/want to own myself. I don’t always get it right, but I certainly try, and I value the trust you’ve put in me when making purchases from So Susie.

So … here they are: the top items you loved in 2022! It’s so much fun to see what you liked and purchased this past year. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me! xx Susie ❤️

Your Favorite Purchases of 2022

I’m excited to share everyone’s favorite 2022 purchases! It’s always nice to hear your comments and reviews, and many of these items are my personal favorites as well. I’ve worn this J.Crew cardigan countless ways, and same with Mother jeans. I also adore this fragrance, and so does Em (she always tries to swipe mine)! The Brinker & Eliza heart bracelet is a great piece, and let’s not forget the Beis Weekender. Keep reading below for more.

Rhode dress | Beis Weekender bag

Rhode dress: Rhode dresses have been a favorite brand all year, and I wore this one to the LTK conference (I was definitely trying to look my best 😉). They are a little short, and might not work for everyone, but they’re perfect for vacation and warmer weather, and special events. I just ordered this one for an upcoming trip to Palm Springs.

Beis Weekender bag: I’ve written about this bag extensively, and have received so many questions that I’ll soon be sharing a video on how to pack it! It’s in stock as of today, so don’t wait. It does fit under the airplane seat — I’ve taken it on over 20 flights — but the trick is to only pack it 1/2 full, or it will have to go overhead!

Nippies | Colleen Rothschild Cleansing Balm

Nippies: I discovered these a year ago after my friend Danielle literally lifted up her top so she could show me the magic these little stickies do! They’re comfortable, and more supportive (ish) than you might think. The trick is to stick them on a little lower, and pull up your breast tissue so it sticks up a little higher. If that makes any sense? 😂

Colleen Rothschild Cleansing Balm: This is a mini-spa in a jar! I’ve gone through many jars myself, and several members of my family love it just as much! Colleen Rothschild is current having a sale where you buy one item, and get the other one 1/2 off.

Compression packing cubes | John Derian book

Compression packing cubes: These were the magic items that helped me travel 15 days in a carry-on to Europe this past summer! You can read the blog post here. John Derian book: This beautifully illustrated book was designed for the pages to be torn out. Hard to imagine I know, but I tried it and LOVED the results. Read here about how I decorated my Instagram office!

Norma Kamali dress | Naghedi tote

Norma Kamali dress: This inexpensive LBD was (and still is) a dress that everyone loves. It’s versatile, year round, and very reasonable at $125. I wear the Red Carpet Strapless Bra and these Spanx shorts under it, and I sized up to the small. It keeps selling out, but I found it in stock here.

Naghedi tote: I purchased this in early Fall 2022 after seeing it on the Shopbop website. I also spotted a few of my IG friends wearing it. It’s an elevated bag that’s a fraction of the cost of a designer bag. It’s a little stretchy and comfortable and I love it so much! I also have it in this color. For reference, the style is the St. Barths medium tote – it’s the perfect size!

Stuart Weitzman boots | Vuori jogger

Stuart Weitzman boots: These have been favorites all season. The heel height (75mm) is perfect, the pointy toe is elegant, and the “sock” detail is really flattering. I found this Marc Fisher pair that look almost identical for a fraction of the price, in the event that you prefer a budget friendly option. I went with my usual size 36.5.

Vuori jogger: I sound like a broken record (I’m sorry), but these are so good. They’ve been a top seller on So Susie for 3 years! Wear them for errands, travel, and casual social events, and dress them up or dress them down. Comfy, versatile, and stylish … these joggers are amazing. I wear the XS in black heather (which looks black), and it’s available at Vuori in all sizes.

Utility jacket | Brinker & Eliza bracelet

$69 utility jacket: I mean, what a deal! It’s stylish, comfy due to a little stretch, versatile, and crazy well-priced. I wear mine beginning in spring, all the way through October. It has sold out at Nordstrom three times already, so if you haven’t bought it yet,  don’t wait!

Brinker & Eliza: This is one of my favorite jewelry brands for slightly larger statement pieces. The heart bracelet is a favorite that I’ve had for several years. You can find it here.

Varley quilted jacket (new in 2022) | J.Crew cardigan

Varley jacket: Varley is a cool brand I discovered in 2022, and I can’t wait to find more pieces! They’re super stylish, and perfect for travel or everyday life. Besides the jacket above, I also love this one (it reminds me of a Moncler) but it’s a fraction of the price. I wear size XS in all the pieces.

J.Crew cardigan: Another favorite for several years, this oversized cardigan works all year round. You can layer a scarf over it when it’s cool, and in warmer months, try wearing a simple white tank and your favorite jeans. It runs big, so definitely go down one or two sizes. I wear the XXS for reference.

Gucci mule | Gucci crossbody bag

Gucci Horsebit sandal: If you’re going to splurge on a designer sandal, this one is hands down a favorite. The heel height isn’t too high, the gold detail on the heel is beautiful, and they look really nice with denim or dresses. I wear size 37, and find them to run true to size.

Gucci Marmont Crossbody bag: I purchased this bag several years ago, and returned it since the drawstring didn’t cinch tight. But then my friend (and Gucci specialist) proceeded to tell me it’s her absolute favorite bag, and she had even purchased a second color. So, I promptly went back and re-bought it, and it has been on constant rotation ever since!

Frame Gillian blouse | Mother denim

Frame Gillian blouse: Everyone needs a black blouse, and this one by Frame is really feminine and pretty. Of course, other black blouses work nicely too (I also love this Vince one). I usually wear an XS.

Mother Denim: Out of all the responses, Mother Denim was the number one best-selling item by far!! I guess I have been talking about them for years. You can’t go wrong with these fits: Insider, Weekender, Hustler, and Dazzler. I know it’s a lot to choose from, but they’re all a little different, so it depends on what you’re looking for. Mother Denim is the best!

Veronica Beard blazer | Moncler puffer

Veronica Beard blazer: The Miller Dickey jacket is a top seller, and everyone who owns it loves it. The hidden zipper detail is really handy, and gives you the option to zip in fun dickeys which can switch up your entire outfit. I find them to run a touch big, and I wear the size 2 (I’m usually a 4). For sleeve shortening, find a really, really good tailor, and have the sleeves taken up. Just make sure it’s not too tight in the upper arm area!

Moncler puffer: This has been my uniform on most days since it got cold here in Portland. Though it’s lightweight, it’s still quite warm (maybe not for freezing temps, but definitely good for cold weather). I think it’s the perfect lightweight jacket, and it’s great for both travel and everyday life. I wear the size small so I can easily layer a hoodie underneath.

Thank you for reading! xx
