5 boots you’ll wear over and over again

What is the single best way to update all your winter outfits? You might be thinking I’m going to say denim, since I do believe every great outfit starts with the right bottom piece (read here and here). But, assuming you already have updated denim in your wardrobes, then the next most important piece is the right shoe. And, since we’re in boot season, that’s the place to start! If you invest in the right boots, ones that are current and cool and stylish, then all your outfits will be that much better. Promise 😊

Today’s post is … yep, you guessed it … all about boots! This is a long time coming, since I needed to figure it out myself first. And this year, more than ever, there are new boot trends worth noting. For example, a newer, elongated toe box is the most current boot to own, and since the heel height is low, you’ll wear them all the time. Also everywhere this season? Knee boots and sock booties (they’re back) — and the best part is they are easy to style and you can incorporate them into your everyday outfits. Keep reading to find out specifically which ones I’m talking about — I’m certain you’ll want to add a style or two!

Boots: Black Suede Studio | Aquatalia | Stuart Weitzman

#1 Favorite Stuart Weitzman boots

Left: Fur coat | Turtleneck | Frame coated jeans | Boots | Gucci scarf | Gucci bag | Right: Anine Bing coat | Bottega Veneta bag | Paige denim | Burberry scarf | White boot | White sweater

Hands down my favorites: the Stuart Weitzman stretch boots. They’re the easiest ones to wear! They work perfectly with dresses and tights (these are the tights I like), and they also look amazing with all your denim. The pointy toe is my favorite, and I just added the knee boots (available in wide-calf too), arriving any day. If you prefer a block heel, these are the best ones and the heel height is perfect.

#2 Elongated toe boots for an instant update

The edgiest boot style to add to your wardrobe, THIS is the boot that will give every outfit an update. I love this Rag & Bone Rio and these by Khaite, and these by Toteme are so cool looking! You’ll start noticing them everywhere, along with these affordable ones by Sam Edelman. Consider a pair or two for yourself!

#3 Neutral boots

Left: J.Crew coat | Sweater | Denim | Boots | Burberry bag | Bracelet | Right: J.Crew coat | Sweater | Boots | Denim | Chloe tote | Necklace

I’m always talking about neutral shoes because they pair with literally any outfit your wear. And, neutral boots are no exception! I love the ones I’m wearing in the top photo, they’re the perfect camel color and the ideal heel height. But, since they’re on the dressier side, you might prefer these if you want something lower and more wearable. White boots are one of my favorite trends at the moment. They’re considered a neutral, and really do go with almost everything. They can be bright white or a soft ivory white, a bootie style or a knee high style. They all look great, and they’re all super cool!

#4 Everyday boots

We all need everyday comfortable boots, so having a black and/or camel style in your boot collection is important. They’ll be the ones you reach for time and time again!
