Hands down, the top 25 items everyone loves
This past week, I decided to ask a question on Instagram: what are your top, favorite purchase(s) from So Susie? A college friend I helped regularly in “Room 3” at Nordstrom suggested I ask everyone, and I’m so glad I did! She told me about how many things she’s purchased from me, and how much she loves everything she has bought. One of the things I enjoy so so much about my job is hearing from all of you. Whether it’s a DM, text, or even in person — it’s so helpful! I love the feedback, and I get some of the best blog ideas from our exchanges, so … thank you! ❤️
Over 200 of you responded in 24 hours — which is absolutely amazing. Of course, many of the same pieces kept coming up. So, these are the top 25 items, and they’re worth sharing with you 🙂 I try really hard to carefully select the things I talk about on the blog, and I own all 25 of these items. As I always promise: I own them or have tried them on, I’ve heard amazing reviews from multiple people, or they’re on my list and I want to try them!

Jackets & Blazers

#1 – $59 utility jacket – This jacket has been a top seller for the last two years. It’s currently back in stock, and I find that it runs true to size, even though the descriptions say otherwise. For reference I wear an XS. There are brand new colors, and I’ll be testing the black and tan when I’m back home.
#2 – Veronica Beard blazer – The Miller Dickey jacket is so good, and it’s also a top seller at Veronica Beard. The hidden zippers allow for many different dickey options — I love this one and this one. These jackets have a slight stretch making them really comfortable, and the style is reminiscent of a designer piece. I wear the size 2 for reference and had the sleeves shortened from the shoulder area so the sleeve buttons aren’t disturbed. The color options include black and navy, now with the option for gold or silver buttons on the Veronica Beard site. This gorgeous camel color is brand new. These blazers are worth every penny!
#3 – L’Agence denim jacket – This denim jacket is a bit of a splurge, but I haven’t seen another one that’s similar. It’s soft, thin and not bulky. It’s perfect with dresses or jeans, and the colors I love are Brisbane wash and Highland wash, as well as any of the colors like white, khaki and even xxx. These jackets run small, I wear the size small for reference.
#4 – J.Crew Juliette cardigan – Another basic that goes with so many things! The camel color is perfect, and it’s a style that works over dresses, work trousers and denim. It runs really roomy and I wear the XXS (not my usual size, ever).
#5 – Cinq a Sept blazer – We love blazers around here, and the Khloe crepe blazer is a year-round fabric. The soft white color is one you can wear all seasons, and it’s a relaxed blazer that works with many different things in your wardrobe. I wear the size 2, but I’ve heard if you have broad shoulders to go up a size. There’s a new matching pant with a slit that’s so cool, and I purchased it right before my vacation!
#6 – Rag & Bone slade blazer – Do you want a blazer that’s cozy like a sweater, but looks polished? This is the blazer! It has been around for a few seasons, but the black was recently re-stocked, so I decided it would be a perfect piece to wear on the plane with joggers. I have the size 4 and it fits perfectly.

#7 – Mother denim, Dazzler, Hustler, Insider – Mother Denim is your all time favorite brand — and mine too! For specifics on the fits, look at this post.

#9 – Levi’s 724 – I’ve had these jeans for several years, and still wear them all the time! They’re the first pair I’ve never had to hem — which means if you’re taller than 5’4″, they will likely be too short. But give them a try!
#10 – – Paige Cindy, Paige Genevieve – Paige is another top brand, and the Paige Cindy fits almost everyone. The Genevieve are newer flare jeans, and I bought them in a petite size (no hemming!) at Anthropologie. They’re also available at Nordstrom.

#11 – Frame trouser – This crop trouser from Frame has recently become a top seller at Nordstrom, and they can barely keep it in stock. The khaki color is new, and it’s the perfect alternative to black. I highly recommend this pant!
#12 – Vuori jogger – Hands down, another top item that everyone should own! A while back, I said run and get these if you haven’t already 🙂 They’re easy to wear with many different jackets, and they’re perfect for looking stylish while running errands. They’re comfortable too — everyone loves them!

#13 – Vince slip dress – Someone recently asked me what my favorite slip dress is. My answer: the Vince one! It’s cut on the bias which is really flattering, and the fabric is slightly crinkly and weighty so it doesn’t show lumps and bumps. It’s so sophisticated! Wear it with a leather jacket, blazer, denim jacket, sweater … this list goes on and on. I wear the XS, and I had mine hemmed a few inches.
#14 – Farm Rio cut-out dress – Love this dress so much, and so do many of you! I recently picked one up in a beautiful shade of lilac. So pretty, and perfect for any time of year. I wear the XS.
#15 – Norma Kamali strapless – Another versatile dress that can be worn many different ways to several types of occasions. Whether you’re wearing flat sandals or higher dressier sandals, this dress is timeless — not to mention, very well-priced. I’m wearing a size small.
Shoes: top sellers
#16 – Schutz cork sandal – This might be one of the easiest styles of shoe to wear. The heel height is perfect, and the neutral color goes with everything — dresses, denim, shorts, etc!
#17 – Vince wedge sandals – These are a recent purchase, and they’re so comfy I could run in them! Grab these while they’re still in stock.
#18 – Golden Goose Sneakers – Golden Goose sneakers add a cool factor to all your jean outfits. My recent purchase is the Ballstar style, and I find them to be very comfortable. I’ve been wearing them around Italy with dresses!
T-shirts
#19 – Anine Bing tee – I can’t say enough about the Anine Bing t-shirts and sweatshirts. They’re so cool, and add a little interest to any jacket you would layer on. If you’re wearing it alone, try rolling up the sleeves.
#20 – ATM tee – This t-shirt is a top stylist favorite! It’s arm flattering, the texture adds just a little bit of interest, and honestly it’s the best white t-shirt anywhere (in my opinion). Price matched today at Nordstrom for 20% off — this rarely happens!
Top Accessories
#21 – Gucci bucket bag – I’ve been collecting several bags over the last few years, and the Gucci bucket bag is still one of my favorites. As a matter of fact, it’s the one I chose to bring on this vacation. It holds everything you need, and it’s really comfortable when putting in on and taking it off.
#22 – Nordstrom black scarf – I can’t say enough great things about this black scarf. It’s the only one I recommend because it’s lightweight, which makes it perfect for using on the airplane any time of year. It’s also ideal for wearing during the winter with all your coats. It goes with so many things, adds a little warmth without being too bulky. It’s a good one!
#23 – Poppy Finch necklace – I’ve worn this Poppy Finch necklace for over three years, every single day. It’s perfect for layering, and the pearl is really pretty.
#24 – Loewe straw tote – Love a straw bag, and the Loewe one has been a top favorite. It’s another one that somehow I squished into my suitcase so I could bring it on vacation 🙂
#25 – Gucci belt – Several years ago, Gucci belts were everywhere, and I was a little over the gold hardware — I even sold my own belt! So, when I saw the tonal GG belt, I immediately purchased it. It’s perfect because the hardware goes with everything!
