Every now and then, we need to add a few pieces to our closets that help give everything else a little refresh! I’ve often noticed that when you add a new shoe or blazer to the mix, it helps create a few more outfits. Not only that, but if they’re modern pieces that are current for the season, you’ll look and feel up to date.
I really enjoy working on articles for Who What Wear, and I research carefully in order to provide the very best content. So, when my friend Bobby Schuessler from WWW asked me which items would update my wardrobe and help pull outfits together … well, that was an easy one because I always have new pieces I’m excited about 😎 As I get my fall wardrobe selections ready to share with you, I want everyone I know to try the top 7 items for a wardrobe refresh. #1 Vibrant Dress

I’ve been looking for a dress that I can wear to several different events: a wedding, a nice dinner, and a night out on a work trip. This one received many compliments, and many people I know have purchased it and have sent me selfies of themselves in it. It’s a good one! Just recently I picked up the exact dress in the prettiest shade of lavender and wore it in this IG Live video – here are some other favorites I spotted recently:
#2 Black pants

Black pants are a wardrobe staple, and the trick is to find a pair you’ll wear with everything. They should be modern, as well as versatile and flattering. These Crop Mini Trousers by Frame keep selling out, so grab a pair while you can! Now they’re available in a great shade of camel – which I also added to my wardrobe – as wells a longer length here! Last week, as I ran into Nordstrom at the last minute, I tried on this new pair of Cinq A Sept pants with a cool front slit. They fit amazing (size up) and they’re the same fabric as the best-selling Khloe blazer!
#3 Denim refresh: the modern flare

Wide-leg denim, or flare styles, are the most important piece to add to your wardrobe right now. Everyone can wear them because they’re so flattering, and they’ll update your closet stat! I love this new Paige Genevieve, it’s available at Nordstrom and also in petite sizing at Anthropologie. Check out some other favorites below.
#4 Oversized shirt

Oversize poplin shirts have become a closet staple this past year, and one in a bright color or a sophisticated neutral will get lots of wear. They look great over everything, so they’re versatile and stylish at the same time! Favorites are this Rails one I’m wearing on vacation, and it’s also available in green. The “Kayla” shirt is another amazing one that everyone loves — hav; it in navy. They all run true to size; keep in mind they’re meant to be slightly oversized.
#5 Refresh your Denim Jacket collection

I’ve noticed that denim jackets are showing up in new colors and adding feminine details like puff sleeves. There are also shorter styles that look great with dresses.
