36 hours in Dallas: Fashion finds, food and more!
This past week I took a fun trip to Dallas … and no matter where I travel, I always come home feeling inspired! Lucky me, I have this little corner of the internet where I get to share it with all of you ♥️ The humidity immediately got the best of my hair (!!), which made me even more curious about what everyone would be wearing in such warm weather. So, upon arrival, I did a quick change into this comfy t-shirt dress, and off we went for dinner in Highland Park. The second I sat down, I glanced at the table next to me and noticed a mom dining with her two daughters. Her perfectly casual outfit was so simple, and SO chic! It reminded me that sometimes the best outfits are the uncomplicated ones. Add elevated shoes and accessories and you’re good to go!
Today’s post is about the outfit I saw everywhere in Dallas, and the cool shoes and accessories that took it to the next level. I’m also sharing all the great finds I spotted trend shopping, as well as what I packed, and the best meals of the trip! Going off topic here — but I’ve long admired the beautiful homes in Dallas, and have followed several interior designers for years. Our walks through these tree-lined Highland Park streets were definitely a highlight, and if you love white painted brick exteriors, a stroll in this neighborhood should be on your list!

My new purchase!
I fell in love with this bright Ulla Johnson top, and I plan on wearing it with white Mother Insider jeans or Mother Cream Puff Dazzler denim. These metallic sandals work with basically everything, and so do these sandals. This Ulla dress and top also caught my eye — Saks has the best selection right now!

This is the time of year when the color palette slightly changes. The cinnamon color, mixed with white and denim, is so pretty and sophisticated. Utility green is always a favorite color — combine it with black and/or white for a stylish look.

What I packed for Dallas
Thank goodness for t-shirt dresses, lightweight denim jackets and white jeans! It all worked out perfectly despite the very warm and humid weather. And, as it turns out, the outfit combos aren’t that different from what I plan on wearing in Portland — if it ever stops raining!
