6 stylish staples that polish all your summer outfits!

My stylist friends and I were recently discussing which pieces we believe make super cute summer outfits and polish the combos. Sometimes it’s hard to navigate the world of online shopping, find things we love AND put all the outfits together. That is why we should all start with a few staples –– ones we can wear at least three ways! For example, make sure you have well-fitting denim, because you’ll wear it over and over again. And, of course, a great summer blazer — it’s the one piece you need in the evening when the temperature cools down. Once all the basics are covered, then you can layer in all the other fun things. To make it easy for you, I’ve put together 6 stylish staples that polish all your summer outfits!

As you likely know, Nordstrom is always my go-to for most everything. Nordstrom has the best selection of all my stylish favorites, and after working there for what seems like a lifetime (29 years to be exact), I kind of know my way around the store  😉 The best part is that I’ve personally tested all these items, and I only recommend things that are really good. So, check out the 6 pieces that will make many cute, stylish outfits you’ll be happy to wear. I hope you find a few things you absolutely love!

P.S. My new YouTube video is out, click here to watch! And, if you’re new around here and would like to subscribe to So Susie, click here. As always, thank you so much for your support ♥️

Summer staples

#1 Open Edit blazer

At $79, this summer weight, oversized blazer is such a deal! I purchased it in the soft white color, and it works with many things. Open Edit is a newer Nordstrom-made brand, and the styling is cool and updated. There are also several fabrics, including linen and gaberdine. These blazers run big, so size down!

#2 Paige denim: polish, and great fit

Paige is one of those brands that fits just about everyone. If you’re looking for a slim, straight leg style, then the Paige Cindy is the best. For wider leg styles, look at the Mother Hustlers, and for skinnies, look at AG or Frame.

#3 Treasure & Bond knit dresses

Finding a versatile and well-fitting dress for under $100 is rare these days, but Treasure and Bond has several. The Nordstrom label Treasure & Bond is the company’s “give-back” brand, donating 2.5% of sales to charity. It is also sustainable, and it has some of the bests pieces in available right now.

Left: Rag & Bone denim jacket | Knit dress | Beaded bag | Sandals | Earrings | Middle: Blazer | Dress | Chloe tote | Scarf | Wedge sandals | Right: Bomber jacket | Dress | Cult Gaia tote | Sandals | Necklace

#4 $25 Nordstrom tank

Everyone needs a good, foundational tank, and since they’re trending right now, finding one or two you feel and look good in is key!

#5 Schutz sandals

This is a favorite brand any time of year, and the affordable styles allow you to try a trend or two without spending too much. These styles below are best-sellers, and for good reason. They work with so many different things in your closet, I think everyone should own a pair!

#6 The ultimate polish piece: Marc Jacobs tote

I have a thing for canvas totes, and Marc Jacobs totes are so cool! The color options are amazing, they’re really useful and the prices are affordable compared to the designer versions!

Thank you for reading, and thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post! xx
