My stylist friends are loving these 10 things: the inside scoop!

After spending a really fun week with my Nordstrom 6 friends, I’m excited to share with you all the amazing things we found! First we met up in Seattle for some business brainstorming, shopping, bonding and exchanging ideas. We spent a day at the Nordstrom Flagship store, and also managed to squeeze in a photo shoot, long hilly walks and a few meetings. And, of course, dinners and games and … cocktails! 😉 After several days in Seattle, we flew down to sunny San Diego. The Nordstrom Fashion Valley store there happens to be a top store in the company — it has one of the best selections nationwide — and we spent an entire day trying on clothes, photographing and making videos. During the trip, I found out which things my stylist friends are really loving right now, so I’m going to give you the inside scoop!

We all have questions about style, what’s in at the moment and what will be trending in the spring. We wonder if Golden Goose sneakers are still cool, which jewelry to add that doesn’t cost a fortune, which jeans fit the best … and much more. Are Golden Goose sneakers still cool?

This is a question I’ve been contemplating myself. I mean, I still love and wear my Golden Goose all the time. But, there has been some chatter that they’re over, and that there are cooler sneakers out there. So here’s the scoop: After chatting with top salespeople in Seattle and San Diego, the conclusion is they’re still hot and Nordstrom can barely keep them in stock! Not to mention that yesterday, three of us wore them for our day out. Are there newer styles out there we love? YES! Check out the new “it” Alexander McQueen sneaker, these affordable ones under ones under $100, these On running sneakers, this retro Rag & Bone sneaker and the newest Golden Goose high tops. All so cool!

Gucci everything …

As stylists, we believe in having a few key pieces you’ll wear all the time — for years to come. I know this sounds a little over the top, but investing in special Gucci items that you’ll wear often is worth every penny. I’ve been going back and forth on finding the perfect loafer, and after this past week, it became clear: the Gucci loafer is THE one to purchase! These rubber sandals from last year are still a love, and so is this Gucci sandal that a couple of my friends own. You can’t go wrong with the bucket bag, and the Marmont handbag collection is incredible. I also love the new silver hardware collection, and this camera bag is pretty much the perfect crossbody bag. Finally, the new Gucci belts with tonal hardware are so versatile … and they’re brand new!

What are some affordable jewelry options that look expensive?

No matter your budget, EVERYONE loves mixing in affordable pieces, and there are some great options. The day before Christmas I was shopping for my daughter when I spotted the prettiest bracelet and necklace. Since it was Nadri I assumed it was under $50. When she opened her gift I was shocked to see the $125 price point! That was WAY over budget – hah! The point is, there are several pieces of Nadri that look like the real thing, so check them out since they are affordable and stylish. This brand new link bracelet and adjustable tennis bracelet are SO GOOD! My stylist friends agree that diamond layers are the “it” piece of jewelry to add, and they work beautifully with any necklace you have at home. I added both bracelets and the tennis necklace to my personal collection.

Girlfriend spa night

There’s never enough time to discuss beauty products, and we all have our favorites which include Patchology eye gels, Elemis Pro-Marine cream SPF 30, Colleen Rothschild Intense Hydrating Mask, and Kiehls Creme de Corps body moisturizer. Since Danielle is a bit of a beauty junkie, she allowed us to dip in and try some things! I’d been wanting to try Byredo Gypsy Water, and after several heavy sprays I am in love. We watched a movie and ate popcorn wearing Patchology eye gels, and Danielle kindly shared her Sisley Paris Oil, which is so nice given that it’s a splurge ♥️ We love these products and are sure you will too!

Which jeans look good on all body types … oh, and what’s the correct length?

We did a denim try-on in a big dressing room (several hilarious moments 😂) and found a few new styles, like the AG Mari and the AGOLDE Riley, that we all loved. The Paige Cindy, Fidelity Cher, Frame Le High Flare and Mini Boot Crop are all favorites. And then, of course, Mother the Hustler — that’s the one we ALL agree on and own! We discussed correct length, and the conclusion is that when it comes to ankle crop denim, there should be a little gap between your shoe and the jean. Sandy was wearing the Fidelity Cher, and it touched her sneaker, so we decided they need to be altered slightly – hah!

The sandal Nordstrom can’t keep in stock

The Vince Camuto Semtera sandal was almost always sold out last spring, and I wasn’t able to get them. Well they’re back this year, in so many great colors, that both Sandy and I picked up the silver ones. The heel height is perfect, the price is such a deal, and it looks like it’s a designer piece. What not to love!

Nordstrom brands that are stylish and affordable

We all love the Nordstrom brand, and Treasure & Bond is probably our favorite. This $49 dress is so versatile (size up), and this off-the-shoulder sweater is sexy and a deal at $69. This Halogen cami and cardigan are items everyone needs, and I have written about them over and over! Finally, if you want a luxe Nordstrom brand, then Nordstrom Signature is the one for you. This double face wool coat is absolutely gorgeous — it looks designer!

White shirts and white tees that work for everyone

This is one category I think it’s safe to say EVERYONE is always searching. We all want the perfect white tee or shirt! My stylist friends and I all agree: ATM and Frame make the best tees. And, you really only need a couple! If you want a crew style go with the ATM, and if you want a V-neck, then Frame is the best option. Frank & Eileen is a favorite white shirt brand, specifically the Joedy. It’s meant to be a little crinkled and I’ve worn mine three years in a row. If you don’t want to spend that much, I just found this one for you, and it gets 5 star reviews!

Sunglasses

We ALL love sunglasses! They hide tired eyes, and if you have a cool pair, they can add so much to your outfit! We ended up in the sunglass department and gave each other some honest opinions. I splurged on this new pair by Celine, and Sandy landed on this Dior style. Danielle looks good in everything, and these Dior ones are edgy and suit her perfectly! Stacey tried on these new Diors and looked absolutely gorgeous.

Intimates we all wear and love

I’ve been wondering how in the world my friend Danielle can wear a cami without a bra … and now I know! They’re called “nippies” and believe it or not, they work! The sticky insides allow you to lift up your breast tissue — I tried them myself and purchased these, and I honestly can’t believe I can skip a bra. If you aren’t so sure, this Wacoal Red Carpet strapless is a favorite among all my stylist friends and gets amazing reviews. Natori Bliss thongs are a go-to, as are the soft stretch Chantelle panties — not sexy, but super comfy! Honeydew PJ’s are what we all wore every night, specifically these, and Sandy treated us to these BP slippers — so sweet!
