The other day, I wore the simple outfit above — and for some reason I felt a little extra … pretty. The pieces weren’t anything fancy: a cashmere sweater I’ve had for a couple years, favorite jeans in a medium wash, and a neutral colored bootie. I know, the cute Chloe tote took it up a few notches, but I did have a lightbulb moment: sometimes the best outfits are made up of the simplest pieces. The result? An easy, elegant outfit that always works! The key to good basics is to make sure the accessories, like a bag or a scarf, are a little extra special.
