The 5 items everyone is buying right now!
Many of us are preparing for the upcoming holidays, and what to wear for Thanksgiving, special gatherings, and upcoming holiday parties. We’re also thinking about gifting, and everywhere I look there are gift guides galore! So, it all comes back to this question: what are we wearing on a Tuesday? (That’s the phrase I used to say in the dressing room!) Meaning, what do our everyday outfits look like?
Today’s post is about the 5 items everyone is buying right now — like sweaters, denim, coats, boots and shirt jackets (shackets). It doesn’t get any more basic than that — but they need to be super stylish. After all, if that’s what most of us wear day in and day out, let’s make it count!

1. Sweaters
Trending everywhere, here are the top 6 styles that work for everyone

State balloon sleeve sweater — this fits everyone and is so flattering — and it’s only $69! I’m going to recommend to everyone to try this one 🙂 $79 Halogen cashmere sweaters — perfect for gift giving and for every day outfits. I own all three styles: the crew, v-neck and turtleneck – and love. For reference mine are size small, with an XS in the turtleneck only since it’s oversized J.Crew Juliette cardigan — a top seller that works for almost everyone. It runs really roomy — I have the XXS. Treasure & Bond cotton thermal sweater — the ideal option for anyone with wool allergies or mild climates. This sweater works perfectly into early spring — love this one! Hoodie sweaters — I wrote about them in this post. All three styles I mentioned are great! The J.Crew one runs big, the Caslon $69 one arrived today in stores and my girlfriend said it’s amazing, and there’s a wool one too. Vince cashmere polo cardigan — Believe it or not, this cashmere splurge sweater has been the number one most clicked sweater on the blog. It’s gorgeous!
2. Denim

3. Coats
It’s coat season, so now is the time to find your favorite!
Lauren Ralph Lauren coat, similar | Anine Bing tee | Gucci scarf | Paige Cindy | Vince Camuto sandals Moncler puffers — I’ve been wearing this Moncler puffer basically every day since purchasing it! It’s my absolute favorite puffer of all time. A splurge, but worth it if you wear it daily.
Faux leather puffers — really trending right now Lauren Ralph Lauren coats — some of the best-priced coats right now, and they look much more expensive than they are. Check Nordstrom and Macy’s for major deals. The one I’m wearing above is similar to this one, but for some reason I can’t find it anywhere. I recently purchased it at Nordstrom.
4. Boots & loafers
We all need every day running around boots — if you have a go-to pair, then all your outfits will look good
Cashmere turtleneck | Mother Hustler jeans | Aquatalia boots Aquatalia — I absolutely love Aquatalia, and these brand new, slightly square toed pair look modern, and are SUPER comfy. Oh, and they’re weather proof too — so good!
Rag & Bone Rover — Another top-seller is the Rag & Bone Rover boot. My friend Stylish Sandy has them in three colors (!) I tease her all the time! Loafers – pretty much the flat shoe to own this season! Love the classic Gucci mule and loafer, and for an affordable option, Sam Edelman makes a great version. I also like the Tory Burch loafer and the chunkier ones by Stuart Weitzman.
5. Shirt jackets (“shackets”)

Shirt jackets are a hot selling category. They’re so easy, comfy and casual, and look great with any denim! Below are some new favorites I spotted.
