I went trend shopping in LA — here’s what I found!
This past week, two of my Nordstrom Stylist friends (Stylish Sandy and DG Stylist) and I took a four-day work trip to Los Angeles for meetings, trend shopping, people watching, and business brainstorming. These trips are so fun and inspiring, and I always return home on idea overload! Some ask, what exactly is “blog research” and why do you do it? Well, trend shopping, or “blog research” as I call it, is where I check out all our favorite stores to see the merchandise in person. As we all know, shopping online isn’t always easy, and seeing the product firsthand helps me select the items I’m going to feature in the blog. I take this all very seriously (!!), and always strive to remain authentic and honest. So, the pieces that end up here are ones I’ve either tried on, purchased, helped someone with OR want to try. This is my “authenticity promise” to you!
Today’s post features shopping highlights from the trip, tips on what to buy from your favorite brands, and a few recent purchases. We covered A LOT of ground in four days, and got some helpful insider tips by popping in and asking the salespeople some questions about fit, top sellers, etc. Something to note: whether you purchase straight from the brand or from stores I link to (Nordstrom, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Revolve, Intermix, Shopbop and more), returns are ALL EASY! Trust me, I’ve purchased and made returns to all these places 🙂 Hope you enjoy the new style boards below!
P.S. If you’re new around here and want to stay up to date on all things stylish and the bound-to-sell-out items we ALL need, then subscribe here and never miss a post! You can also check out my Instagram Reels videos here.
Veronica Beard stores are like little jewel boxes. They’re beautifully decorated, and every store is different, with special and unique finds in each one. The latest collection includes several holiday pieces, like this new puff sleeve top with pretty embellishments — I couldn’t resist! These new faux leather flare pants are really flattering, and talk about leg lengthening — they’re perfect to wear with heels. Speaking of faux leather, this zip hoodie dickey is amazing! Sandy purchased the last one, so I ordered one here. Love love! Veronica Beard is one of my favorite places to go trend shopping 🙂

Speaking of the Miller Dickey jacket, Intermix just received this GORGEOUS, ivory blazer with gold buttons. Sandy and I both splurged!
Clean, modern and cool: that’s the Anine Bing aesthetic. Anine Bing herself has amazing style — typically a blazer, graphic tee or chunky sweater, denim and cool shoes and bags. The stores are really well designed; I recently visited the one in NYC where I picked up this now-sold-out Paris tee. The good news is the sweatshirt is now available, and other university tees are too. I’m quite sure the Paris one will come back in stock soon, so stay tuned!

This fragrance smells SO GOOD! We all left with samples and wore it for three days straight
I can’t say enough good things about this camel coat – it’s often sold out so grab one if you can
The Madeline blazer is their top seller, and will be re-stocked soon. It’s oversized, but not as much as the others
Paige is a favorite brand for not only denim, but for their collection clothing too. I have been in three Paige stores recently during trend shopping trips, and every single time I spot something new and fabulous! This last trip, I tried on the utility jacket (runs touch small) and this best-selling sweater. The Cindy jean is a favorite, and their shoes are spot on!

Everything from L’Agence is catching my eye these days. Gorgeous shoes, blazers, silk dresses and blouses, and of course denim. I could go on and on — it’s ALL good. The fit is perfect, and every style is great quality and super stylish!

A favorite brand, Frame has THE BEST denim, blouses, sweaters — everything! I love this new Ritz collaboration and was so excited to come home with a baseball hat … but unfortunately the store had sold out. Oh well, it’s available online! All of my stylist friends consider Frame a go-to brand.

This new style trouser sold out at Nordstrom already, but I found it here for you. It’s a great option instead of denim!
