Top sellers at a glance … everyone loves them!
The start of a new season is always exciting, and though I’m not quite ready to give up summer clothes yet, dreaming and planning a new fall wardrobe is so much fun! There’s loads of street style inspo everywhere, and talk of all the upcoming trends is on every website. And, New York Fashion Week starts soon, and then you know fall is officially here!
Today’s post is about recent top sellers off the blog, as well as some great new items that will help you put together the ultimate wardrobe for the season. They’re all wearable now … until the weather changes! Stay tuned for this weekend’s updates on all the new trends to follow — get ready for beautiful jackets, coats, sweaters and boots, and much more!
P.S. I’ve been sharing several Instagram Reels posts lately, and have created a blog post with all the outfit details for you — check it out here! To see a J.Crew try-on session, click here. This Reels video on denim trends created quite a stir, and this video went viral — so crazy! Check it out here 🙂
The color green is definitely the color of the season, and there are SO many things that are catching my eye — and apparently yours too! The dress above made the top sellers list, and so did this summer J.Crew one, and this printed style. Now I have my eye on these earrings, this bag and this baseball hat.
We all love our blazers, and this one has been a favorite. Many of you have messaged me with questions, so here goes! It’s an ivory color, and the crepe fabric allows for year round wear — that’s a bonus. I ordered two sizes (2 & 4), and kept the size 2 because it runs a little roomy. The other blazer we all love is the Veronica Beard, both the scuba style and the new double breasted style. Both styles run a little big, and while I’m usually a 4 in most everything, both of these I own in a size 2 for reference. The double breasted style, reminiscent of a gorgeous Balmain, comes in black with silver buttons and navy with gold buttons. So versatile; you can see my try-ons in today’s Instagram stories.
White shirts are favorites in pretty much everyone’s wardrobe … but they don’t need to be boring! The ruffle style above is so pretty, and reminds me of the “LA uniform I saw everywhere” (read about it here). This new one by Halogen — at $59 it’s a deal! It has a bright pink or black stripe down the side, and it runs big. Super cute and you’ll wear it all the time — see here how my friend Danielle styled it. Lastly, look at this Frank & Eileen “Joedy” oversized shirt. It’s a splurge I know, but it’s probably the most worn item in my own closet for the last two years — all seasons. Tie it up over a slip dress, wear out with skinny jeans or layer it under a cardigan — so so good!
I wrote about the dark denim trend in this recent post, and you all loved it so much, these jeans quickly rose to the top. Check out this dark denim skirt, and a few new jeans I spotted here, here and here. Talk about the perfect way to start out a new season!
Soft Cashmere sweaters
Having several basic cashmere or cashmere blend sweaters is the equivalent of a great fall t-shirt. They easily layer under or over things, and they work most seasons. I even took mine on a trip to wine country in the middle of summer and it was perfect over the shoulders on cooler evenings. Favorites include these by J.Crew (they just added the prettiest new colors), these by Nordstrom, and of course Vince (like the pink one above) are classics.
If you’ve been following me for awhile, then you likely own these Schutz sandals, or are tired of seeing them on me 😉 Luckily I found a few new sandals ,like these by Marc Fisher, these heeled Dolce Vita ones – hot hot everywhere – and these Vince Camuto ones. This best-selling style by Vince has just been re-stocked … I love mine! All so well-priced and versatile! I realize we’re heading into fall and these might not work for everyone, but they’re too good not to mention!
The best basics
The basics … they don’t need to be boring, but they’re oh so necessary for every great outfit! Think ATM white tees, this summer linen blend cardigan and this fall version. The Vince Crop leggings are the best, and now that fall is coming, so is this simple black silk blouse!
