I’ve been trying a few new things lately — everything from soft pj’s to the comfiest $49 dress to a new body scrub — and because they’re SO GOOD, I must share 5 favorites you’ll love — and I’ve tested them all! There are many brand new items rolling in every single day, and when I make a great find I promise I’ll write about it here, so you’ll be in the know 😉 Also, because we’ve gotten many subscribers lately, I thought I’d make a proper introduction!
I’m Susie, and I’ve been a retail girl since high school, working at Nordstrom in various roles including a decade-long stint as a buyer and another decade as a personal stylist. I have the same questions as all of you: does my bra fit properly, should I be using Vitamin C serum, am I too old to wear that, how can I not look tired, can I wear ripped jeans … the list goes ON AND ON! In my opinion, it’s my duty to share my experiences with you, as well as those of thousands of women I’ve had intimate conversations with in the dressing room over the years.
I have a passion for the business of fashion, and for helping women get dressed every day. And, I’ve had many interesting meetings with the creators and founders of worldwide brands who have given me an inside perspective that I LOVE sharing with you through this blog.
When I started this website, it was initially to show some street style inspiration so we could all get ideas on how to style cool pieces. But, it has evolved into much more than that. Makeup faves: I think it’s safe to say most of us love beauty products! Charlotte Tilbury is an all-time favorite brand and I still use it daily (I wrote about it here). Bobbi Brown eye shadow sticks are so good, I used the dusty mauve color in this Reels video. Valentino Beauty just launched, and Gemma, Nordstrom’s Beauty Director, reposted this photo on her IG stories. I just had to know what she thought I might like, so I asked. She responded “the lipsticks are fabulous and you should get one of the powder clutches, so cool.” Needless to say, both are in my shopping bag!
Skincare faves: I’ve been receiving many beauty products (I feel so lucky), and there are a handful that are really, really good. Colleen Rothschild is a go-to and they kindly sent me a care package a while back 🙂 Most nights I use the Retinol Supreme Eye Serum, and the Cleansing Balm feels like a “mini-spa.” I keep reading about the importance of Vitamin C serum, so I decided to replenish the Skinceuticals C E Ferulic serum. Expensive but worth it!
Fragrance faves: I just can’t get enough of Tom Ford’s Rose Prick fragrance. I’ve already replenished the body spray, and the fragrance bottle is almost empty! I also love this dreamy Body Oil by French perfume Maison Francis Kurkdjian – another new favorite fragrance that has been flying off the shelves. Finally, for a luxurious spa night at home, try this Jo Malone body scrub — the smell is amazing and it leaves your skin so soft!

Recently I met up with my Instagram friend Karen (see her IG here) and we had a fun lunch together. This Rails dress was perfect for our warm summer day outing. Out of the 5 favorites you’ll love, these are officially my favorite pajamas. So comfy! These Honeydew pj’s wash up nicely and are reasonably priced. I don’t know about you, but I’m super picky when it comes to sleeping — I need pants and short sleeves, so this set checked all the boxes! They come in different versions here. You can’t go wrong with anything from this brand, trust me!
#5 New workout gear

I have a theory: when you “splurge” and buy even one new workout piece, it motivates you to exercise! This may not be true for everyone, but it sure helps me. Petites will be excited to discover Lululemon’s 25″ inseam, which means no hemming for those of us with a shorter frame. This Zella skirt is a go-to for summer days, along with this Vuori t-shirt. I’ve been wearing this belt bag to carry keys, phone and other necessities. So handy! Here are a few other things I have my eye on …
