My Stylist friends always pack these items for vacation!
In 10 days, my Nordstrom6 stylist friends and I are meeting again … this time in sunny San Diego! To say we’re excited is an understatement. We bonded since the early days of the pandemic, and honestly, I can’t imagine life without them! We text daily about all sorts of things, from personal news to styling tips to everything fashion related. We’ve also confided in each other and celebrated our wins and losses … and even shed a tear or two 🙂 I’m so so grateful to be in the company of these awesome girl bosses! So what on earth do you pack for five days of fun and activities, including a special event/work day at Nordstrom, a pool party, and even a slumber party? Well, from a “what do I wear” standpoint, it all sounds a little overwhelming … so I decided to make style boards for each event. Hopefully you’ll get a little inspo and some ideas for your own upcoming trips! Disclaimer: some of the items on the boards are just wish items — in other words, these aren’t all coming with me. But, I sure had fun dreaming and making these style boards!
P.S. Just for kicks, I polled my friends for the one travel item they always bring on trips, and here are the results! Rose loves her Slip silk mask, Sandy always brings a scarf, and so do I — this one specifically. Stacey loves joggers, and Jennifer swears by comfy shoes with heels no more than 1-2″ high. Travel day outfit
I decided to switch things up, and since my flight is only 2 hours long I’m actually NOT going to wear my Vuori joggers! Hard to believe I know since I’ve literally worn them on every flight this year. But, once I land, the fun is starting immediately and I want to be a little more “put together” for the all-girl gang. For this flight, I’m going to wear this Veronica Beard blazer, these jeans and sneakers. I’ll probably just take my Cal-pak since it’s only a 4 day trip, and I will definitely be using these packing cubes — they’re life-savers!

Lounging at Danielle’s pool!
We’ve been talking about a pool party for months, and it’s finally happening! This coverup will work perfectly as a casual day dress and it’s only $65. Several years ago during, Copenhagen Fashion Week, I spotted Havaiana flip flops like these everywhere and have been looking for them ever since. Recently I’ve also been seeing visors on all the Instagram fashion girls — a great alternative to a beach hat and so cute. Finally, look at this Fendi tote – love love love!

Nordstrom “work day” — it’s a special event!
The thing that started this whole get together is that Danielle could hardly contain her excitement about her Nordstrom store scoring the exclusive Annual Designer event. Designer samples from all the top designers (including Bottega Veneta, Valentino and Dolce & Gabbana) will be showcased, along with several receptions and events, culminating in a super cool fashion show! It’s the perfect time to see what’s happening in the world of fashion and get a peek at what’s in store for the future. Now the bigger question is … what in the world does one wear to such an event?

Shopping day
Among the six of us, some like shopping more than others, if you can believe it. I would prefer to sit at a café and sip rosé, but some of my friends are die-hards — hah! And that’s ok — we might go our separate ways for a couple of hours, but then we come back and share what we’ve found. If I was going to a cute café to have a glass of wine, I’d probably wear my favorite new jeans, this cute white top and the comfiest ever Schutz sandals. Casual but cute!

Boat day
Danielle has been planning all sorts of events for us and we’re all super excited. Her good friend is hosting a happy hour and a pontoon boat ride … so fun! I’m planning on wearing this floral dress, which is so cute, and currently on sale. (For reference I bought the size 2 and had about 3-4″ taken off the bottom.) This Loewe tote bag was a splurge, but it has been a favorite purchase this summer — it works with every single outfit, and it’s worth the splurge! A favorite lip combo is this lipstick and liner, an everyday go-to. Finally, these Dior sandals have been a constant all summer. They go with everything from dresses to shorts and jeans.

Photo shoot
We decided as a group that having a photo shoot was definitely going to be part of the agenda! Not only will we make wonderful memories, we can also count on having a group photo to use on our social media. The color theme is black, neutral and leopard, so I decided to wear the Vince slipdress I’ve talked about over and over in recent months. Tune in to see what my stylist friends are wearing!

Night out
One of the nights calls for a fancy dinner out, and I can’t wait to connect even more with my Nordstrom6 friends who are usually scattered across the US. It’s really fun to be able to have cocktails and dinner together! For this special evening, I might wear simple jeans and this favorite Veronica Beard top.
