I love helping my dear friends and clients select the very best items on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. After all, it can be a little overwhelming (and exciting) because, well … we all love a good deal. So check your closets and see what you need — then get ready to have some fun!

Why is the Anniversary Sale a big deal? Because it’s brand new fall merchandise, on sale before the season even starts, and it gets marked back up in a few weeks. So, now is the time to buy the main pieces of your fall wardrobe!

The #1 strategy is to focus on those items that are most likely to sell out. Some customer favorites literally sell out the first day, and sometimes they don’t get restocked. Vince is always a favorite, and this year my top categories are sweaters and dresses! The dresses are perfect to buy and wear now, and I love this one and this one. If you don’t already own this crop legging, now is the perfect time to try it because it’s SO GOOD. It’s not on sale, but it’ll go with every single thing you own. I also love this Vince jacket, this sneaker, and this silk top and skirt.

AllSaints is always a favorite brand, and their leather jackets are the best. They can be a little spendy though, so NOW is the time to buy one … and you gotta act quickly because they sell out every year! Their sweaters are also super cool and a little edgy, which makes them extra stylish with denim. Try this asymmetrical style — it adds interest to your denim and booties. Other top sellers include this style and this one, and this jacket is super cute too.

#4 Paige collection

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know my love for the Paige brand, both denim and sportswear. This year I recommend everything in the photo above (side note: I never show anything I don’t love)! I predict both blouses and the cami will sell out, and so will the jeans. This sweater is the prettiest color and is a tiny bit sexy. Grab it while you can!

 

 

#5 Fall/Winter Coats

Coats are one of the single best things to grab on this sale when you find one you like. The prices are incredible — not that different from when I was a coat buyer several decades ago 🙂 Last year, this Halogen one sold out, so don’t wait! There’s everything from puffers to cool leather coats to faux fur. And, the belted coat is super stylish and most everyone can wear it!

#7 Best of shoes
