3 of your most-asked questions … answered here!
This week I definitely over extended myself, and I know many of you can likely relate! It’s a good thing I love love love what I do. Between Instagram Reels and Lives, collaborations, prepping for the Nordstrom Sale and helping clients … well let’s just say I’m a little behind in answering all the thoughtful texts, dm’s and emails you’ve sent me. That said, I did notice this one thing: there were 3 questions that kept coming up over and over again, and because there’s a lot to share on these topics, I decided to turn it all into one big blog post! Keep reading to find out answers to these questions, I hope they’re helpful 🙂
#1 – You mentioned in this blog post that many people are wearing their jeans at the wrong length. Help!! What is the correct length?

#1 – What is the correct length for my jeans?

Recently, I wrote in this post that many people are wearing their jeans at the wrong length. Surprisingly, almost every single closet I go into (over 100+ and counting), I notice this “mistake.” And, since every outfit begins with a good bottom, this is an important detail to get right. I confess, until now I eyeballed it — but since I started writing this blog, I’ve had to include specifics on what the length should be!
Tip 1: Check the name of the jean. If it says ankle straight or ankle skinny, then it should hit slightly above the ankle. This sounds obvious, but be sure to check! It’s the easiest way to know what the correct length should be.
Tip 2: Skinny jeans can be hemmed right at the ankle (for longer length skinnies) or slightly above (for ankle skinnies). There should be no bunching, and I prefer no rolling (it looks fussy). These are the easiest to hem, and they work with every kind of shoe -= sandal, heel, boot, sneaker.
Tip 3: Measuring 4″ from the floor is a good guide on where crop straight leg jean should be. I’ve just started testing it out, and so far it’s working. This is the first time I’ve had to put it into words in order to share it with you!

#3 – What’s your everyday makeup routine?

In this Reels Video, I was using this Bobbi Brown eyeshadow stick in the color Dusty Mauve, and many of you asked about my daily beauty routine — so I’m sharing it here!
Makeup primer – I switch between Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream and First aid Beauty Coconut primer. They’re both so good, and are a complimentary base for the Giorgio Armani foundation I’ve used forever. I wear color 5.5 for reference.
Concealer – Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away is a light-coverage concealer that doesn’t settle in fine lines. I wear color 3
Eye Primer – This Laura Mercier eye primer is a great base for eyeshadow, and is another favorite I’ve used for years in the color flax.
Eyeshadow sticks – I’ve used Laura Mercier Rosegold for a long time, and it’s the color I use most days. Recently I branched out and picked up the Bobbi Brown version in Dusty Mauve, and it’s a new favorite. Perfect for when you feel like adding a bit more drama!
Blush – Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk is a neutral peachy color and it has a handy built-in highlighter in the middle
Lipstick – Charlotte Tilbury Kidman’s Kiss is an everyday go-to, and Mac Creme Cup is another favorite I just discovered. I always use a Chanel gloss over both of them
Mascara – Chanel Le Volume is the only one I use lately, and I like applying it on the heavy side!
Brushes – This Trish McEvoy dual brush is amazing! Super soft and two-sided for concealer and foundation
Finishing powder – Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish powder is like Instagram for your face. So good, it works magic!
