Think you shouldn’t wear black in the summer? Think again!

When it’s hot out, black gets a bad rap — but it doesn’t have to be that way. Supposedly it absorbs heat, and there’s probably science to back that up, but I don’t plan on researching that anytime soon 😂   It didn’t stop me from wearing my favorite ATM t-shirt dress all around Italy during one of their warmest summers ever! Ya, I was perspiring a bit, but I have no regrets.

In my book, black is always a good choice. It has an understated elegance, and is actually wearable any time of year. For summertime, just choose lightweight fabrics, like cotton, linen and denim, and you’ll be fine. Today’s post is about several ways to wear black in the summer — think woven accessories, lace-up sandals and faded denim to give your outfit the perfect warm weather look!
