Sunny Vacation Packing List: The 5 pieces you need!
In the past year, many of us cancelled trips and postponed travel to an unknown future date. For me, it was better just to put travel dreams on the back burner and not even think about them for awhile. But recently, I had started dreaming again … and then, out of the blue, my dear friend asked if I wanted to join her in SoCal for a few days! Next thing I knew we were meeting in Palm Springs 🙂 After a long winter we can all use a little Vitamin D, so I took the opportunity for a brief work/pleasure getaway. Plus, I like to find cool, fun places to share with you!
The Holiday House has been on my radar for a few years, and once I learned Mark D. Sikes was the interior designer, I knew I had to stay here. For those of you unfamiliar with Mark, he’s a famous LA designer who has written two incredible books, Beautiful and More Beautiful. Weekend Getaway Style Board

On every flight, I wear Vuori joggers, a cashmere tee, my denim jacket and of course this black scarf. Always. It’s comfy, stylish and easy, and the perfect extra layer to help you stay warm.
This pretty suitcase is ideal for a weekend getaway, and this makeup organizer is well-priced and holds everything you need. Since the Billie razor comes with a cute travel case, I threw it in my makeup bag too!
I always bring sandals, and of course a hat and water bottle.
Since I was going to a sunny destination, I brought Supergoop! sunscreen and a canvas tote, which I carried with me everywhere!

#1 Swim
J.Crew swim has been my favorite so far this season. For other swim options, I really like Becca and also this new brand, Melissa Odabash. It’s so exciting to be shopping for swimwear 🙂
#2 Sandals
I’ve been noticing jellies everywhere, at every price point. From Tory Burch to Gucci, the options are endless. They’re cute and comfy and it doesn’t matter if they get wet!
#3 Dresses
When the weather warms up, dresses are the easiest way to quickly feel put together. One and done, and super comfy. I love this new one by Anthropologie; this J.Crew striped dress is also really good, and has been restocked!
#4 Casual outfit for cooler evenings
Since it was a little chilly in the evenings, I wore Mother white denim, this pretty blouse and this cardigan over my shoulders.
