This one tip will save you money!

Here’s the deal: if we make careful purchases, we might actually save money! Well, kind of 🙂 My accountant friend doesn’t really think this works, but we had a good laugh over it anyway. The truth is, we often buy too many things. Then, somehow, we end up not having the right pieces to complete our outfits. It’s like when you fall in love with something and decide to purchase it in every color — we’ve all done this. Or, you buy something on sale but have absolutely no plans on how to make an outfit! You get the idea.

So, I think this one tip will save you money: invest in things you can wear at least 3 different ways. You’ll get more mileage out of your wardrobe, and you’ll feel confident about your purchases. For example, this trench I’m wearing is one of my favorite pieces. I’ve worn it most months of the year with many many different outfit combos for two years straight; everything from denim, to a shorter dress, to strappy heels, to flat sandals. One trench, multiple outfits. And I absolutely love it!

Today’s post is about one item styled three different ways. I asked Emily to join, and you’ll see her style boards below. Right now I’m having a love affair with belted coats … from pretty pastel colors like this one and this one, to basic black, camel and cream. Emily and I both love Levi’s, which is what her style boards are based on. Keep reading to see our 6 new style boards, and we hope you get a little inspiration along the way!
