Favorite purchases of 2020 – Part 2!

Madewell denim jacket |Mother denim | Gucci bag | Cami | Roxanne Assoulin bracelets | Gucci sunglasses | Prada shoes, similar

A few weeks ago, I wrote a blog post called “Hands down, the 10 best purchases of the year,” and let me tell you, it wasn’t easy to narrow it down to 10! But I did, and while I’m satisfied with the selections, I’ve found even more really good things worth sharing. It reminds me of the How I Built This podcast when Glossier founder Emily Weiss revealed that she’d learn about different beauty products, and feel it was her “civic duty” to share them with the world. That’s exactly how I feel about so many of the things I discover during this fun little journey we’re on together!

Today’s post is about favorite purchases of 2020. This time, I’m including some home favorites as well, including the John Derian book I used to decorate my walls and a bench I scored from Target. Keep reading for the latest style boards, and hopefully you’ll find a thing or two you want to try 🙂

P.S. We’ve had a little explosion of growth lately, so if you’re new around here and want to stay up to date on all things stylish, just subscribe here and never miss a post! Also, my daughter Emily has been hard at work creating blog posts I think you’ll like. We added Em’s Picks to the website, you can check it out here.

— J.Crew makes some of the best basics, and this cardigan and this cashmere tee have been favorites. I just added this new color and I think you’ll really like it

— I can’t say enough about these little Gucci bags – cream here and black here. They carry WAY more than you think, and they go with everything from fancy dresses to jeans. They’re worth every penny!

This Jimmy Choo boot has been my go-to for the last several months

— I love these Vince black pants, they’re stretchy like a legging but polished like a nicer pant. And, they work great with the Veja sneakers now, and with the Schutz cork sandal later — love!

These sunglasses are my signature, and the initial necklace gets lots of compliments

— I’ve been loving Levi’s for the past few years, and since I mis-hemmed my previous ones, I just picked these up and had them properly hemmed!

— The ATM tee and cardigan are two of the best pieces in the entire store. You can’t go wrong with either

— I tend to wear the same jewelry pieces over and over and after ten years, I STILL love this Michele watch if you can believe it

— Rag & Bone is a favorite brand, and this Slade blazer is so good. It’s cozy like a sweater and polished like a blazer – perfect for our casual lifestyles

Favorite home décor purchases

— Everyone always asks about the topiaries I have on my dining table! These are very similar, and if you mix in some fresh flowers, no one notices they aren’t real 😉 I also have these placemats on the same table, and they add a nice texture to casual plates and even fancier china

— I scored this bench from Target last spring when I was supposed to be buying toilet paper lol

— This bistro set table and chairs by Fermob is so cute … and we actually use it! It’s in the front of my house and I just love it

— These cashmere blankets are a splurge, but they add a really nice splash of color

— The Anthropologie mirror was the first thing I added to my newly renovated Instagram office last year

— Can’t say enough about this makeup organizer. It’s so nice having everything tidy, and it holds a lot too

— This John Derian book is SO good; I tore out several pages and framed them in these Pottery Barn frames. You can read more about it here

— The Italy book will make you feel like you’re on the Amalfi coast

— I used the Dash egg cooker again today. For $20, you’ll wonder how you lived without it

— I love having jars around the house and always buy them in pairs. This one by Pottery Barn is large and makes a statement. I also like mixing these remote controlled candles among regular candles. You really can’t tell they aren’t real when they’re up on a mantle.

— This fluffy rug is a favorite, I’ve moved it around from room to room and it looks good everywhere!

Thank you for reading xx
