The Ultimate Beauty Essentials
I am by no means a beauty guru, however I love finding new makeup & beauty products, and over the years I have accumulated some of my “can’t live without” beauty essentials. Skincare and makeup are best friends in my mind! It’s important to have a clean canvas to apply your makeup and therefore, having a good skincare routine is essential for making your makeup look flawless!
First, here are some of my favorite skincare products that I seriously can’t live without:
Now for some of my favorite makeup products that I use every single day. The first collage includes products for an everyday makeup look, while the second collage includes items that you can use to add a little something extra to your beauty routine:
For my makeup routine, I tend to prefer a full coverage look which is why I love this Giorgio Armani foundation. It has a light-weight formula that gives my skin the perfect full coverage glow without looking too cakey. I also love this drugstore foundation by L’Oréal.
When I first got this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder, the makeup artist showing it to me said this powder is like “Instagram for your face” and I couldn’t agree more. I have used this powder ever since because it makes my skin look flawless and gets rid of any shine on my face.
With all this makeup you need some tools to apply the product, which brings me to this flat top foundation brush and beauty blender. First, I use this foundation brush to evenly distribute the product all over my face and then I use the beauty blender to blend any fine lines and make everything look seamless.
This lip liner by KKW Beauty is actually one of my favorite lip liners because it’s a pink nude shade that highlights the natural color of your lips. Pre-Covid, I had this lip liner and Lip Injection lip gloss in my purse at all times. This lip gloss gives you the perfect pout and it’s not as thick & sticky as I find most lip glosses are.
I was blessed with dark under eye circles 😉 which is why I can’t live without translucent powder in my makeup routine. Not only does translucent powder set my foundation, it makes everything look matte. I also use it for “baking,” where I use a beauty blender to apply the translucent powder under my eyes and continue the rest of my makeup routine. At the end, I swiftly brush it off using a small makeup brush.
Cheers to 2021!
