At the expense of my budget, I did purchase all these things myself. I know, ouch đ But I want you to know that if Iâm talking about them here itâs because I really love them; this is my authenticity promise to you. I do make a small commission when you click and make a purchase, so thank you for shopping through this blog. Itâs what keeps this whole exciting adventure going strong!
P.S. Weâve had a little explosion of growth lately so if youâre new around here and want to stay up to date on all things stylish and the bound-to-sell-out items we ALL need, then subscribe here and never miss a post!Â
#1 Makeup brushes
I canât lie, this is an area where I tend to not spend much money. Donât tell anyone, but some of my brushes are years old. How embarrassing! So, I finally decided to splurge on a few new ones, and wow — why did I wait so long? This concealer brush is a game changer. And, I just picked up this soft eyeshadow brush and this blush brush. Now I feel like a grown up when applying makeup!
#2 SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum
Awhile back, I wrote about Vitamin C serums and shared valuable anti-aging tips from my dear friend, Dr Lauren Bordeaux. At the time, I hadnât tried this beauty favorite, SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum, that literally every dermatologist uses and recommends. Well now I have, and itâs a winner! According to Dr. Lauren, the trick is finding a formulation that has more than 10% Vitamin C. This one has 15% pure Vitamin C. Itâs a little spendy, but itâs the only thing in my own beauty arsenal thatâs this expensive. You wonât be sorry!
#3 Charlotte Tilbury everything

Why everything by Charlotte Tilbury? Because everything in this brand is amazing! Favorites include the iconic Pillow Talk blush and lipstick, the incredible Magic Away concealer, all-time favorite lipstick Kidman’s Kiss, and Wonder Glow, an illuminating primer that is like an Instagram filter for your face.
#4 Anthropologie mirror

Iâve been working on my Instagram office lately, and though this mirror was a splurge, but totally worth it. It makes the entire space! This Instagram favorite mirror comes in three sizes and two finishes, and is a top rated item on the Anthropologie website. Iâd go as far as to say make room for this gorgeous mirror, youâll be so happy you did!
#5 Makeup organizer and packing cubes
Cosmetic travel case | Valentino sandals | Packing cubes
This is a double header because they are both SO GOOD! Iâm not the most orderly person around, so both of these are really easy ways to get organized with very little effort. They were on every trip I took last year. Iâve written many times about these life-changing packing cubes (read here and here). The cosmetics organizer was an Amazon purchase, and everything you need fits in it perfectly. And while itâs not that pretty, it is super functional and you’ll appreciate the $25 price tag. Recently I noticed that itâs available in pink, which is a nice option to the traditional black. You’ll wonder why you waited so long to get these!
#6 Jo Malone
Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede was a new addition to my fragrance collection this year, and I canât seem to get enough of it. The love affair started after I snuck in Emilyâs room and sprayed on some of hers. We both get lots of compliments every time we wear it, and after a little more research, I discovered itâs a fragrance loved by many. I already ordered the body lotion, and next on my list is the candle. I highly recommend trying something from this collection, or for that matter, any of the Jo Malone fragrances!
#7 Personalized phone case
The Daily Edited Phone case | J.Crew cardigan | Mother jeans
I had been eyeing these phone cases for some time, and I finally purchased one. Why did I wait so long? Because I couldnât decide what color and font to get! I absolutely love it, and the packaging it came in was really pretty. Great for yourself or for a gift.
#8 Dash Egg Cooker
Iâm sorry if Iâm starting to sound like an infomercial! đ This was seriously the BEST $20 Iâve ever spent, and based on everyoneâs messages and dmâs, itâs a top selling item off the blog. See my homemade IGVT infomercial here.
#9 Pottery Barn flameless candles
Pottery Barn flameless candle on the mantle
Iâve gone on and on about these too. I love candles, and on most days have a couple of them lit up, but there are a few places in my house where I want the ambiance without the fuss. These flameless candles are amazing! Not only do they look real, but thereâs a remote available which is so handy when you’re sitting on the couch and don’t want to get up đ We used these all throughout the summer (indoors and outdoors) and will use them in the fall too. Try two to begin with, and I bet youâll add more after you see how nice (and easy) they are!Â
#10 Sunscreen
According to Dr. Lauren, if thereâs one thing we all must do every single day, itâs to apply sunscreen. Her go-to favorites are Elta MD and Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen. Iâve been trying this one by Elemis and I love it so far. This one also gets great reviews.
