This week’s inspiration — and the top denim trends to know!
I know we’re in the middle of summer, but this time of year (at least in the world of fashion) marks a brand new season. Of course, this year is quite different with not many places to go and our clothing needs dramatically altered, but it’s still fun to see new trends emerge. Next week also marks the beginning of Copenhagen Fashion Week, which is always a personal favorite. There’s something about Scandi fashion that always catches my eye, and I absolutely love the street style inspo that comes from it. In fact, I wrote about it last year in this post. Keep reading for a few things that caught my eye this week that are worth sharing with all of you! These include some of my favorite denim trends.

#1 Denim trends

Lately, many of you have sent me dm’s asking which denim to buy. I know it can be overwhelming to look online at endless styles of denim, so here’s my tip on navigating different websites. First, consider the brand favorites: Mother brand is at the top, then Frame and Paige, and also AGOLDE which is a newcomer seen all over Instagram. Then, look at the styles: flares are making a comeback, and of course, at this point skinnies have become classics. Read the Anniversary denim picks here and here. #2 Face coverings
Well, looks like we’re all going to be wearing masks for awhile, so why not make them comfy and pretty? I had to call in a few favors on this one because I didn’t want to buy 100 new ones 😉 So, here are the cutest, most comfortable, affordable masks I could find. As per my authenticity promise to you, I either own these, have tried them on or have asked trusted friends for their opinions.

Lately, Anthropologie has been having some great sales, and this week, I noticed some of my favorite dresses are up to 40% off! This one caught my eye, and this easy denim style can be worn now with sandals or later with booties. One brand that is always on point is Cloth & Stone (check it out here).
#4 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The Nordstrom Sale has just started, and there are already several clear favorites, like this Monica Vinader bracelet, this cute PJ set, and these go-with-everything booties. Most importantly, make sure to read this post or this one for guidance on what to buy at the sale!

#5 Preppy trend

I just read this Who What Wear article on how the preppy look is making a comeback. And I couldn’t be happier, because as it mentions, the inspiration is coming from Princess Diana who I absolutely love! Two years ago I started noticing the sweater drape over all the fashion girls, and finally, this article explained it’s popularity. Try it!
