The best investment piece of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
After 28 years navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, one thing I’ve learned is that investing in coats and jackets is worth every penny. I’ve said it over and over again — a great jacket or coat makes every outfit, and based on my own experience, these are the pieces we all still love years later. Ironically, my first buying assignment with Nordstrom was in the coat and suit department, which might be where my love of coats comes from! This year on the Nordstrom Sale, there are many excellent choices. My guidance to clients and friends has always been to pick up a few; the prices are really good, and trust me, you’ll be happy you have them once the weather changes! Trench Coats

A trench coat is such a classic; you know you’ll have it forever. (Well, maybe not forever, but definitely for a really long time.) Find one you love and add it to your collection — you’ll be surprised at how often you reach for it!
Bright colored coats

The price on most of these coats is SO reasonable, consider adding a couple to your wardrobe because owning a variety covers you for any occasion. I love this belted style, it’s stylish and flattering. And the bright colors this year are really fun! Check below for some other favorites.
Blazers

But they aren’t only for going to work; I’m talking about wearing them like a jacket, or with a sneaker or a bootie for casual weekday looks, like running errands or meeting a girlfriend for lunch (outside, of course)!
Leather Coats
1. | 2. | 3. | 4. | 5. | 6. | 7. Leather coats are the perfect option for both added warmth and style. They can be worn over so many things, like dresses, cozy sweaters, your favorite tees, and even a hoodie. I realize the white one might be a little harder to take care of, but it sure is super cute!
Puffer Coats
1. | 2. | 3. | 4. | 5. | 6. | 7. Puffer coats are the cool girl staple for running errands, exercising or grabbing some coffee. While I love Moncler, this designer-inspired coat is very stylish and reasonably priced! You can’t go wrong with a good puffer 🙂
