Happy Friday everyone! Today I’m sharing with you this week’s summer must-have inspiration. Pretty much on any given day, I’m really excited about something I’ve found and can’t wait to tell you about it. This week, it’s everything from a summer must-have bra, to great advice from a renowned dermatologist, to the items you need to make a cozy backyard seating area. Since our Portland weather finally turned warmer, I’ve been gravitating towards summer dresses. This strapless cotton dress is very comfy, and it’s perfect for lounging around the house. You could try this Madewell easy breezy one, and you might like this one by Paige. We’ve loved hanging out on our deck lately, and investing in this sectional was the best decision we ever made. The pillows are a mix from Pottery Barn, and the floral ones behind me are from Target!

Here is a peek at one of the style boards I created yesterday using this J.Crew go-with- everything sweater jacket. Chambray tops like this Madewell one (it’s on sale) and this one, are so easy to wear! Adding white jeans like these favorite Levi’s or these by AGOLDE makes for an easy summer outfit. I threw this cardigan over my shoulders which adds a little warmth (and kind of acts like a scarf 😉 Plus it looks chic, which is always the goal! A touch of black always works with this color combo – grab a crossbody bag and you’re ready to go. I love this splurge one, and for a reasonably priced option, check this one out. You can’t go wrong with either!
Backyard cozy spot

This is the first time we’ve used this little area on our deck in the 20 years we’ve lived here, and it’s hands down our new favorite spot. I recently purchased these outdoor chairs, which will go to good use when they come back inside. These pillows from Target were a good deal, and so were these string lights in white. I brought out my favorite Aerin dinnerware and these cute flower shaped placemats for a casual dinner. These block print napkins are from Pottery barn, and I have my eye on this bamboo flatware. If you have extra $$, I’d recommend splurging on this set. Your table will look beautiful!

This past week my friend and dermatologist, Dr. Lauren Boudreaux, answered your questions on Instagram Live. The SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic and Obagi are favorites for Vitamin C serums, and The Ordinary Peeling Solution is a deal and is also one of her favorites. I’ve tried it too and love it. Lastly, we can’t forget about sunscreen, which was her number one tip! We both love Supergoop! and there are many different options to try. Did you know there are a couple of bras that are “must-haves” for summer? A racerback bra and a dependable strapless bra are exactly what you need for all your fun warm weather outfits. They can be tricky though, so I’ve done some research for you 🙂
The Wacoal Halo Lace Underwire bra is hands down a favorite. The adjustable straps easily convert to a racerback with a J-hook. I also love this Halo Lace strapless bra, and this brand new wire-free one is super comfy and stays put like no other bra I’ve tried! It’s a good one! Lastly the Red Carpet style has been a best seller for years (my go-to). Try these out, they’re amazing! In case you missed it, check out this recent post on my other favorite Wacoal bras.
