WELCOME TO ANOTHER ROOM 3 REPORT: THIS JUST IN!
Typically this time of year, I am knee-deep in Anniversary appointments and sale prep. But, since it has been postponed, I have a little extra free time to do some “blog research” for all of you! And some exciting new things have just arrived, so I decided it’s time to get back to another “Room 3 Report.” Since many of you are new around here, let me explain.
My work office, or “Room 3,” is actually a dressing room. It’s where I meet clients and friends to help them figure out what clothes to buy and how to wear them. Over the years in Room 3, hundreds of friendships have been formed, secrets told, job changes announced, tears and laughter, kid things … oh, and clothes. 😊 While the satisfaction of helping you all goes WAY beyond the actual clothes, we do get pretty excited when we find new things we love!
Since I try on clothes for a living, and I take mirror selfies along the way … I thought it would be a good idea to continue sharing my best finds with you. This past week, I quickly tried on some favorites and snapped a bunch of photos. Please excuse all the unedited (mostly) and imperfect ones. It’s only after I’m home, scrolling through them all, that I notice things like sensors and tags, or a little mess in the background.
Here’s the seventh edition of the Room 3 Report: what’s new and what caught my eye! If you ever have any questions about sizing, fit, color or anything else, please contact me — I’m always happy to help.
#1 Bardot gingham dress
Funny enough, I tried this exact dress on last Spring and was always sad I let it get away because it immediately sold out. Well, now it’s back! And at $79, I’m pretty sure it won’t last. The smocking is a slimming detail, and a trend that’s popping up everywhere. I recently purchased this maxi, also with slimming smocking, and check out this pretty one too.
Left: Frame stripe tee | Mother brand denim, faded blue | Baubblebar mask | YSL bag | Black sandals | Brinker & Eliza bracelet | Right: Frame linen blouse, on sale | Mother brand white denim | Schutz sandals | Gucci sunnies
Frame is always a favorite, and lately I’ve been loving all their t-shirts. The linen blend is slightly forgiving, and the simple stripes in navy and black work with everything. I also tried on this updated yet simple white muscle tee (it runs small). The linen blouse has a pretty puff sleeve that’s hard to see, and it’s on sale right now. I wore these neutral go-with-everything Schutz sandals that are so comfy!
#3 Veronica Beard
The Veronica Beard white dress is so cute with the pretty eyelet, slightly flared skirt and a t-shirt top. And it’s being price matched!! Check this longer version out too. This denim skirt caught my eye online, and I thought for sure it would be way too short, but was pleasantly surprised that the length is ok … although keep in mind I’m 5’1″!
#4 Ganni Leopard dress
The Copenhagen label Ganni has risen to stardom in recent years. The easy-to-wear pieces can be seen all over is Instagram. I almost didn’t try this dress on, but I’m so glad I did, because now it’s a favorite and so versatile! It’s perfect for now with sneakers, or a sandal of any height. And come fall, a bootie will work perfectly.
#5 Paige joggers
As I’ve written over and over again – sorry if I sound like a broken record but Paige designs some of the most wearable staples from blouses to tees to these joggers! You can see a previous article here. These joggers run roomy, so size down if you’re between sizes. They’re SO soft and comfy — grab a pair before they’re gone. There’s a similar best-selling one called the Mayslie. You can’t go wrong with either!
#6 Todays OOTD
This new muscle tee is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It has shoulder pads, which I’m pretty sure I haven’t worn since the early 90’s! It’s the perfect update, but I realize it’s not for everyone!. The Halogen cardigan is a staple, and if you don’t own one, then I’m going to go out on a limb by saying you’re missing out! It’s versatile, and on sale.
#7 ATM dress
ATM is a favorite of mine. The casual collection continues to make comfy yet stylish pieces, like this simple t-shirt dress with the cool slit in the back. This dress runs a little roomy so consider sizing down. Also, I would need to hem this, which is why I’m holding it! The cotton knit is the same fabric of the best selling “Schoolboy” tee.
#8 Veronica Beard dress
Veronica Beard continues season after season to design some of the coolest pieces out there. I love this right-on-trend tiered dress. It would be super stylish with white sneakers or any kind of sandal. And when the Fall comes, add a bootie and a cozy cardigan, and you’ll wear this dress all year long!
