The downside of being a stylist
Since I shop for a living and help my stylish friends and clients pick out the hottest, most bound-to-sell-out items, it’s inevitable that I fall in love with things too! I call it “the downside of being a stylist.” 😉 The temptation to spend an entire paycheck on clothes is always there, which intellectually I know isn’t a great investment. It’s always fun to dream about owning the best pieces on the market.
Today’s post is about everything I’m looking at on the Nordstrom website … and there’s a lot to share! Firstly, there are a handful of gorgeous designer handbags that recently went on sale — so now might be a good time to splurge. Also, there’s a new Madewell collection, some Alice & Olivia dresses you’ll love, and of course a few new summer essentials that work for everyone. 1 Designer sale – these won’t last
For those of you who love a deal on designer bags or shoes, now’s the time to move fast. Today I spotted a few bags that are only available to Nordstrom cardholders. If you love something, don’t wait because in a blink of an eye, it’ll be gone! For example, this Valentino bag is amazing – the color is perfection. This tote will be a staple for years to come. 2 Price matching
Many of you know that Nordstrom price matches when another store has the same thing on sale. It also happens to be one of my favorite searches on the Nordstrom website. As I’m writing this post, there are 3,637 items being price matched. It’s a good time to grab a pair of summer jeans from Mother or AG, Marc Fisher summer sandals or some great basics by Frame. Here are a few other things that are a great deal right now!
3 Casual oversized shirt
This item has been the number one most-worn item in my closet! I highly recommend finding a style you really like, because you’ll wear it all the time. The casual, oversized shirt is perfect for summer, and works just as easily in the winter with a cardigan layered over it. I love Frank & Eileen (this is a favorite), and Grayson is a similar brand that is actually owned by Frank & Eileen.
4 It’s always a good time for new beauty products
Lately I’ve been trying a handful of new products including this sunscreen, this body scrub and this new lip color (Charlotte Tilbury, Sexy Sienna). Love them all! I also spotted this new Charlotte Tilbury Light Magic Cream, and it has an SPF of 20 which is great. You might want to also try this luxurious fragrance, and now there’s a body oil for way less $$. This is a great way to try the fragrance without investing too much money.
5 Tiered summer dresses are a thing
This is a trend that all the stylish fashion girls are wearing, probably because it’s an effortless way to dress on hot sunny days. For some styles you will need a good strapless bra. This brand new style by Wacoal is so good (and comfy), and you’ll love this one as well. One of the best pieces on the market! Both are perfect under all your summery dresses and tops!
