This proves you can buy makeup online!
We all love beauty products, but after being home for the past few months with no access to testers, it has proven difficult for many of us to try new things. Recently, my college friend reached out asking for foundation recommendations and for a few other makeup suggestions. I gave her three ideas, and after going back and forth on color choices, she placed an online order. Several days later, she reported back saying ALL 3 WORKED! So that got me thinking, you absolutely can buy makeup online!!
Keep reading to discover some new beauty picks I’m sure you’ll love. Oh, and last weekend my #Nordstrom6 friends and I shared our beauty favorites, and after reviewing my trustworthy friends’ selections, I’m super excited to share them with you. If you’d like to see my Instagram videos, click here.

Foundation and Concealer
The only foundation I recommend is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. It’s a natural looking, creamy, medium-coverage foundation that leaves my skin glowy and even-toned. It gets amazing reviews, including the Allure Best of Beauty award, and it’s also Violet Grey “approved.” Not sure which color to pick? Head over to Giorgio Armani Beauty, where you can upload your photo and virtually “try-on” foundation. (For reference, I wear color 5.5). It’s a really cool process, and fun too!
So many of you ask me about concealer! I love Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic-Away (color 3), which has great coverage and so creamy that it doesn’t settle in your fine lines. The key to blending it in perfectly is to use this brush. Lastly, the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder is literally like an Instagram Filter for your face (I wear color medium). It blurs imperfections and leaves you looking air-brushed and smooth. Use alone, or over your foundation and concealer. This product is magic, I promise!
Lipstick is the perfect pick-me-up. Lately, I’ve been gravitating to Charlotte Tilbury and love so many of her colors, including the infamous Pillow Talk. As a matter of fact, Pillow Talk is probably the most famous color of lip liner currently on the market. This iconic liner launched to worldwide acclaim in 2013 and has become a “hero” product. It goes with every lipstick you wear, and makes your lips look full and lustrous – per Charlotte Tilbury: “your lips – but better.”
The color I shared on the #Nordstrom6 videos was Charlotte Tilbury’s “Kidman’s Kiss,” a pretty rose-petal pink matte lipstick. My trusted Chanel lip brush is the key to smoothing out every lipstick I wear — it prevents it from settling in my lip lines. And then I always add a Chanel lip gloss, which works over every lipstick. The color here doesn’t matter too much, just as long as it’s a neutral (#744 and #119 are favorites). P.S. I wrote about my favorite Charlotte Tilbury products in this post – check it out!
Having several go-to blush shades ensures you’ll be covered for all your summer looks! Currently I’m wearing Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk blush, a soft peachy color with a lighter, more shimmery peach highlighter in the middle. You’ll also love the iconic NARS Orgasm, and when it’s combined with a bronzer it’s perfect for summer!
For a little eye prep, I swear by Laura Mercier’s eye primer in Flax. The Laura Mercier eyeshadow sticks are easy to apply, and perfect for a quick every-day eye makeup. Rosegold is the favorite, and as I was told by the counter manager: think of Metallic Taupe as the big sister to Rosegold. It’s a little more sparkly, and it’s perfect for day or nighttime looks. Be sure to consider tightlining with Chanel’s waterproof black eyeliner — it’s the only one I recommend. Lastly, if you want to add a little more eye color, use this Chanel Les Ombres Eyeshadow Quad in #79. Your eyes will look amazing!
If you’ve been following along on my Instagram lately, you might have noticed how much fun I’ve been having with my #Nordstrom6 friends. Who are the Nordstrom 6? In my shopping bag!
The Dyson Dryer has literally been in my shopping bag for a year, so when my friend Rose went on and on about it, I decided now might just be the time to splurge. Her signature fragrance is Gucci Bloom, which is a light floral scent, and she loves the Clarins self-tanner which I’ve been using as well. Try these out!
My other Nordstrom friend Danielle was all about skin care, and she covered A LOT of amazing products, so here are six for you to consider. She highly recommends Patchology, and the prices are really good right now. She also swears by the Dr. Dennis Gross Daily Peel, and she LOVES Sisley Paris! Of course, message me with any questions – I’m always happy to help!
