Grab them before they’re gone: This week’s favorites!
Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! Although this year things are very different, we are trying to make the best of this little break by hanging out in the backyard, playing some ping pong and trying out new summer cocktails. The weather is finally getting sunny again, which gives me the perfect excuse to lounge around in my new caftan, pretending I’m in Palm Springs lying next to the pool, Slim Aaron style! Be sure and check it out — and speaking of caftans, I found a few for you here, here and here!
Today’s post is about some super cool things you’ve loved this week. Lots of favorites of the week! Plus, there are incredible sales going on, like price matching at Nordstrom, 25% off at Anthropologie, and everything white at Paige at 30% off. Also, there are crazy good sales on Vince shoes and other favorites. No joke — some of them are 60% off! And then there are a few home décor items that, based on the feedback from Instagram this week, I MUST share with you.
#1 Favorite dress
One week ago, I did a little try-on and showed several ways to wear our beloved denim jackets. Many of you commented and texted about several of the items, and asked if I would do a re-cap. These pieces are really good, and they’re on sale, so here they are 🙂 See the Instagram post and videos here.
#2 The comfiest t-shirt dresses you’ll find!
Last summer, while vacationing in Italy, I basically rotated between 4 t-shirt dresses — and I kept wearing them after got home! I highly recommend this one by Z Supply, and this tie dye ATM style that’s exactly like the one I’m wearing above. Two brands to check out right now are Z Supply and Wilt. Trust me on this; find one or two or even three t-shirt dresses you love, and you’ll thank me later 🙂 You will LIVE in these!
#3 Heidi and Susie’s Décor inspo
This week, my friend and talented interior designer, Heidi Semler (see her website here) and I met up in my basement office for an Instagram Live. She has a great eye, the best taste, and the houses she has worked on are absolutely amazing … several have been featured in magazines. You can imagine how excited I was when she offered to share some of her favorite finds with me! So here they are, straight from Heidi herself. And since I’m a “closet” designer too, I’m sharing my favorites as well!
I’d had my eye on this green table for awhile, and finally decided to purchase it. I couldn’t be happier, it’s the perfect addition to my home office which is why it landed on my favorites of the week post! These deck chairs from Serena & Lily are available in several fabric options, and can be moved anywhere in your garden for extra seating. The teak stools are perfect for casual indoor or outdoor seating. Try any one of these outdoor picks, and when the season ends, find a place for your selections somewhere inside your house! SALE ALERT: Serena & Lily site wide is 20% off, and another favorite home décor site McGee & Co. is offering 20% off site wide. Also, Anthropologie home outdoor decor is up to 30% off. These are amazing sales, check them out! With summer approaching, it’s the perfect time to spruce up your outside spaces.
#4 Graphic tees
I’ve been buying graphic tees for years, and there’s quite a collection growing in my closet, so I thought I’d give this trend a little break. But now … Anine Bing graphic tees are all over Instagram! They are definitely one of my favorites of the week. When I spotted this tee, and even featured it in this blog post, I decided I should try it too. It’s a little oversized, which feels just right, and for some silly reason it has given a new excitement to my stay-at-home wardrobe! Are you loving the graphic tee trend too?!
#5 Tie dye
THE TIE DYE TREND THAT’S TAKING OVER FLORALS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER!
The timing couldn’t be better for the tie dye trend that’s sweeping the fashion savvy — and all ages, I might add! More favorites of the week! This fun print might just be what we need to add some interest to our WFH outfits. I don’t know about you, but this new way of dressing is a huge adjustment for me … I’m not used to wearing slippers and loungewear to “work” every day!
Recently, Emily and Jake did a little DIY tie dye project in our back yard, and I’ve been wearing this cute sweatshirt with my denim and joggers ever since! And, now of course, I’m seeing many other tie dye trend pieces you could add to your wardrobe, like this t-shirt dress, this maxi dress and this Moto jacket. So keep reading for street style inspo and some pretty cool picks!
