Room 3 Report: New arrivals you’ll love!

Veronica Beard dress

Welcome to another Room 3 Report: New arrivals!

My work office, or “Room 3,” is actually a dressing room where I meet my clients and friends to help them figure out which clothes to buy and how to wear them. Since I was in LA over the weekend, and found myself in the gorgeous Veronica Beard store, I decided to include these dressing room photos in this report — mainly because the dressing rooms look like they could be in your house, AND I’m in love with both of these dresses!

SINCE I TRY ON CLOTHES FOR A LIVING …

… and take mirror selfies along the way, I thought I would continue to share my best finds with you. Who would have thought these (mostly) unedited dressing room pics would be so popular? (See last month’s here.) Many of you requested another one, so …

Here’s the eighth edition of the Room 3 Report

Today’s Report is on everything that just came in!  With brand new merchandise arriving daily, there’s a lot to cover. If you ever have any questions about sizing, fit, color or anything else, please contact me — I’m always happy to help. And if you enjoy reading this blog, subscribe here and never miss a post!

#1 Veronica Beard shirtdress

Veronica Beard dress, also available here and here | Chimi sunnies

First of all, how gorgeous is this dressing room at the Veronica Beard store in Pacific Palisades? I instantly fell in love with this dress and the pink one above as well. The sleeve detail is right on trend for Spring, and the shirttail hem, which is a touch longer in the front and back and shorter on the sides, is super flattering.  Veronica Beard dresses always, always fit very well!

#2 Rag & Bone casual “suit”

Rag & Bone jacket | Rag & Bone slim pant | Vince mules | Frame cami

This season, the suiting trend continues. I’m not talking about “going to work” suiting, I’m talking about a matching pant and jacket in a pretty color worn in a stylish way. For example, one of the best dressed women I spotted in LA wore an ivory blazer, ivory satin jogger pants, a Chanel bag and Bottega Veneta mules. Another stylish gal wore a blazer with a skinny leather pant, resulting in a look that’s both cool and trending. I know I’m wearing boring navy, but I love the slim look of the infamous “Simone” pant, which is high waisted, stretchy and very flattering. Consider this ensemble for a very important upcoming event, and make sure the handbag and shoe will also make a statement!

#3 Everlane try-on

Everlane cashmere tee | Everlane Cheeky straight leg denim | Gucci sunnies

Everlane is a really cool store, so I specifically planned my morning around visiting it on Abbott Kinney Blvd in LA. Everlane is known for “exceptional quality, ethical factories and radical transparency,” important values we all appreciate. The cashmere tee, which has been sold out, was recently restocked (I’m wearing a size small). The Cheeky straight leg jean is only $78, and I am wearing a size 26 ankle (although petites will still need it hemmed). Lastly, grab a bone colored cotton tee — it’ll go with everything!

#4 Ted Baker – Gucci inspired dress

Ted Baker dress | Ted Baker cardigan

This new dress by Ted Baker is quite versatile and can be worn to many different events. And, the fact that there’s a matching cardigan is a bonus, since we often need something to throw on in case it cools off. This size 1 was a little tight, so you might want to size up.

#5 Blouses

Frame blouse | Frame washed black jean | ALC blouse | Prada shoe

These two blouses are pretty and feminine, and you’ll love the billowy sleeve detail on the ivory Frame one.  You can never go wrong investing in blouses since they’re truly timeless!

#6 Chelsea 28 coverup

Chelsea 28 coverup

I’ve written about this dress/coverup extensively over the past year. It has been one of the best purchases my clients have made since it can be worn for casual entertaining as well as over your favorite swimsuit.  This color is brand new, and for the price of $78, it’s worth every penny!

#7 Club Monaco jacket

Club Monaco jacket | Rag & Bone slim pants | Vince mule | Frame cami

Club Monaco is a favorite brand. The styling is always right and the prices are very reasonable. This jacket can be worn belted or with the tie in the back, and the versatile ivory color goes with everything. I’m wearing the Rag & Bone Simone pant, which gets great reviews and very flattering!

#8 Blank NYC faux leather blazer

Blank NYC faux leather blazer | Mother flare jeans | Everlane short sleeve cashmere sweater | Vince mules

I’ve been wearing this faux leather blazer A LOT lately, and everyone is always complimenting me on it. It easily passes for real leather, it’s the perfect length and it’s only $118! Another “worth every penny” purchase. You should also try on the new Mother brand flare jeans — they make your legs look a mile long!

#9 Rag & Bone polo dress

Rag & Bone polo dress

Talk about the perfect summer dress, and it’ll be great with everything from an espadrille to lower heeled sandals to a white sneaker. This dress runs small, so if you’re between sizes, go up. You will wear this all season long!

#10 Vince cardigan and matching cami

Vince cardigan | Vince cami | Mother Brand jeans

When Katie Holmes was spotted in NYC last year wearing a loose off-the-shoulder cardigan with a matching cashmere bralette underneath, the photo instantly went viral. It was just a matter of time until we started seeing variations of it everywhere. This matching set is by Vince, and it’s classic and very stylish. You can wear either piece by itself, or wear them together. And because they’re made of lightweight cashmere, these two pieces are perfect for any time of year!

#11 Topshop tote and YSL bag

Topshop tote | YSL bag | denim jacket | Mother Dazzler jeans | Veja sneakers | ATM tee

Basically my weekend outfit.  Simple, comfy and stylish!

#12 Chelsea 28 cotton sweater

Chelsea 28 sweater | Spanx leggings | Veja sneakers | Laura Lombardi necklace

A longer cotton sweater is perfect for this time of year. It’s not as heavy as all of our wool ones, and it works perfectly with faux leather leggings and sneakers. These favorite Veja sneakers run big, so size down. I read somewhere that the tongue can be a little uncomfortable, but if you scoot it off to the side, it works like magic. I tried it, and it’s true! Pick up a pair of Vejas and you’ll wear them (almost) every day, I promise!

Thank you for reading! xo
