The boring basic we all need for Spring!

The boring basic I’m talking about is the classic button down shirt that is ruling the Spring 2020 runways.  This wardrobe basic is suddenly new and fresh, with the stylish fashion girls showing us different ways to wear this once boring basic. Even Meghan Markle has hopped on the trend by wearing brand favorite Frank and Eileen, which of course looked perfectly “casually elegant” on her!

While many of the street style outfits are showing oversized, billowy shirts, the look can be adapted to real life. Find one you love and wear it however you’re most comfortable. At The Row, “they were worn slightly unbuttoned over a turtleneck (a cold weather styling trick we just adore),” according to Who What Wear Daily. I love the idea of buttoning just the top two buttons and letting the rest fly open (see inspo below) … but I’d be very wary of my not-ripped abs showing, so I’ll have to pass! 😂
