Makeup must haves; I’ve tested them all!

I don’t know about you, but I pretty much stick to the same beauty routine day in and day out. Sure, if I’m going out I’ll put in a little extra effort, but mainly I use the same things over and over … and I suspect you do as well! We’re all busy, and it’s just easier this way 😉

However, now is the perfect time to try a few new things. Since it’s my job to do “blog research” for all of you, I found 8 new beauty products to share. Remember I only write about things I’ve tried, not just once but a handful of times to ensure they’re the best of the best!

Read on for the tried and true beauty favorites I can’t live without. They’re called #beautyempties and I wrote about them in this post.  And there are new beauty favorites too — makeup products I recently discovered that will easily make their way into your regular beauty routine!

Makeup must-haves

# 1 – Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream – I use this best selling moisturizer cream under my foundation every day because it provides a smooth base for any makeup look. It has a faint rose scent and received the Allure Best of Beauty award.

#2 – Chanel Le Volume Mascara – I love it for the instant volume and its dark, intense black color. I use 10 Noir.

#5 – Giorgio Armani Foundation – Highly recommend this award winning beauty artist favorite — it’s amazing! I wear color number 5.5 and if I’m feeling pale, 5.0.

#6 – Laura Mercier Eye Caviar Stick in Rose Gold – I use this every single day. It’s slightly shimmery and easy to apply, and it’s really all you need for a simple, everyday look.

#7 – Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk Lipstick – Did you know a Pillowtalk lipstick is sold every 30 seconds? It’s the color that literally everyone wears, from Alexa Chung to Emma Roberts … it’s the perfect everyday nude.

#8 – Bobbi Brown Lip Liner in Rose – This liner goes with almost every lipstick, I’m not kidding. Not sure I’ve ever used a pencil to the very end like I have with this one!

#9 – Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder –  This super-luxe micro powder is seriously the best – it literally gives you flawless skin. It’s the finishing touch after applying all your makeup, and a with a quick, light brush all over,  you’ll instantly feel pretty and ready to go. I use color medium.

New beauty favorites

#1 – Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blush – A peach tone blush with luminous gold flecks for a gorgeous glow. I’ve been using this every day for the last couple of months, and love it!

#2 – Glossier Boy Brow – This cult favorite is easy to apply, and it adds just the right amount of color, leaving your brows “fluffy and instantly groomed” according to Glossier!

#3 – Benefit High Beam Highlighter – This highlighter t gives you a nice, dewy glow. Try it!

#4 – Tom Ford Lip Lacquer in Naked Elixir – A huge splurge, but it’s a gorgeous neutral and looks pretty over every lipstick. I noticed there’s only one left, so if it’s sold out, try here.

#5 – Bobbi Brown Art Stick Lipstick in Bare – a neutral every-day shade, and you can’t go wrong by adding a new lipstick! It’s an easy way to update.

#6 – Laura Mercier Longwear Concealer – Since I was out of my beloved Charlotte Tilbury one, I decided to try something new and now I have another favorite! It gives you a little more coverage than the Charlotte one, and it stays put all day.

#7 Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Metallic Taupe – This is the big sister to the Rose Gold one above. It’s much more sparkly and brightens your eyes in an instant!

#8 Stila Glitter & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow – A travel size trio that will certainly take your eyes up a notch.  Normally I would never wear purple, but it was subtle enough that I did. I applied it with the brush above, and got several compliments. Who gets compliments on their eye makeup? 😂
