The new neutral: animal print

Animal prints have been “having a moment” for the last year, and they’re staying strong as we head into Fall ‘19.  This is a good thing, considering they’re pretty much a neutral at this point!  Any item in our closets that can be worn every month of the year and with everything from silk camis to t-shirts to sandals to booties earns this kind of status.  And just when I think I’m not adding another piece, along comes something I must have — and you too!

Last week when I spotted this new leopard shirtdress, I immediately knew it was coming home with me.  Between the $119 price tag and the versatility of being able to wear it with sandals like I did here, it’s a must-have.  And next month, it will work nicely with boots and this cozy cardigan.  Even better, now I can hang up a few of the summer dresses  that even I’m getting tired of seeing myself wear! 😂. The pink ALLSAINTS has been a favorite, but for the moment it’s going to be on hold.  It’s animal print now!  Keep reading for some of my new season picks.

Animal print coats

Talk about a statement piece! A Leopard print coat … or any animal print coat works.  Find a pattern or print you love and I’m certain it will be a showstopper!

The leopard skirt has been everywhere for the last couple of seasons.  It’s easy to see why — this skirt is super stylish and extremely versatile.  The perfect wear now, wear later piece, add it to your wardrobe if you haven’t already!

This is the dress that I purchased last week, and for only $119 it’s worth every penny.  At least that’s the way I justified yet another leopard piece!  For a night out, I’d try this halter style or this sexy slipdress.  And if you want to be a little more daring, try this yellow animal print dress, or this sophisticated tonal dress.
