Wear now, wear later: what to buy right now
This favorite ATM dress proved to be the perfect thing to wear for traveling throughout Italy. It didn’t show any wrinkles, dirt or perspiration (given that it felt like 1000 degrees every day), and I always felt stylish. Now that I’m back in Portland, I want to keep wearing it, which got me thinking: how can we transition our favorite pieces into Fall? This dress for example, is ideal for today’s weather and in a few weeks can easily be paired with these booties. And to keep warm in the evenings, I’d add this jacket or this cozy cardigan.
As we slowly move towards the Fall season, getting dressed can be a little tricky. It’s still warm during the daytime, with the evenings cooling off quickly, so adding another layer will help you transition seamlessly. Most of you know how much I love the label ATM because the entire collection is so easy to wear! There’s something about this casual brand that feels timeless yet luxurious. So it’s really exciting when a new collection is released!
This lightweight ATM cashmere cardigan is the perfect layering piece over just about everything. It’s super soft, comes in the prettiest colors and looks just as good with denim as it does over a slip dress. I realize this cashmere number is a bit of a splurge, but keep in mind, investing in a basic you’ll wear over and over again most seasons … well sometimes it’s just worth it. For lower priced options, there is this one by Halogen or this one by Topshop.
