About project Lemonade

The idea for a benefit came up last year when we were brainstorming how to combine Nordstrom and clothing with how to help Project Lemonade.  After months and months of planning, we’re so excited to share this event with you!

Project Lemonade is a remarkable non-profit that gives foster youth a free clothes shopping experience to help them prepare to attend school.  Each child receives a “shopping list” which entitles them to shop for basics, and every child receives new underwear and socks.

My co-workers at Nordstrom, my son and I spent a morning in the Lloyd Center store re-stocking, re-merchandising and re-organizing.  It was so heartwarming and inspiring to see how happy the kids were with their new school clothes and supplies, and how thrilled they were (no matter their age) to receive a stuffed animal.  It was an experience I’ll never forget!

In addition to 100% of ticket sales, Maria and I will also be donating a portion of our sales from the evening. We look forward to seeing you at this amazing event!
