Now that it’s the new year, it’s time to start thinking ahead to brighter times  … and longer days.  Since it’s still full on winter, warm, cozy coats will be a staple for the next few months.  And we all likely have a black coat of some kind hanging in the closet, which is exactly why you should consider purchasing a new, fun, brightly colored coat! Or these two dream coats, (this one in gardenia, and this ultra chic puffer) .  I can personally attest they are just as dreamy on!!

I recently purchased this yellow tweed coat by J.Crew, and I literally haven’t taken it off.  I’ve worn it with sneakers to run around town, with the infamous white bootie (more here), and more recently with ripped jeans and my favorite nude pointy toe pumps.  (By the way, I had this coat majorly taken in.  I bought a petite size (I’m 5’1″) but found it to be too boxy, so I had it nipped in the back AND down the sides:)  Here are some good coat options for you to consider.
