The color that makes everything look expensive!

Honestly? Camel is the only color I can think of that instantly adds sophistication and elegance to any outfit. Something about this classic shade invokes a luxe feel, making whatever you’re wearing look more expensive … even if it’s from Topshop! This season, head-to-toe beige and soft neutral colors have caught the attention of the fashion set.

There are many different ways to wear camel and other shades of beige. They look amazing with black, luxurious with charcoal grey, and even pair nicely with white. For a touch of pattern, try a snake print shoe or a boot like this one or this one. Find the perfect camel-colored piece (or two) and make it a timeless addition to your wardrobe. Keep reading for a little inspo, and for 5 ways to incorporate this season’s beige tones into your wardrobe so that your look is current and refined!

1. Camel coat

A camel coat is a luxurious indulgence … but since it’s a piece you wear over and over again, it’s worth the investment. Very versatile, you will find that a camel coat goes with everything from denim and white sneakers to a black evening dress and strappy sandals. Max Mara, an Italian brand known for their iconic camel coats, introduced its first collection way back in 1957! Here’s Max Mara Teddy Bear camel coat for a little inspiration, and their Manuela camel hair coat is a celebrity favorite!

Check out this cozy sweatshirt style, this double-faced wool piece by Theory and this go-with-everything plaid jacket by Vince. You can’t go wrong with any of these! P.S The Ugg faux fur coat below is a great option to the iconic Max Mara above.

2.  Camel sweaters

A camel sweater is another classic piece to purchase right now. I think J.Crew makes some of the best affordable soft neutral colors in sweaters, including the Sophie and Juliette cardigans. The cashmere is great quality; I own the basic crew and wear it most seasons. Pair your camel sweaters with light wash or black denim, and add a sneaker, a flat or a heeled bootie. Anything works and will look great!

There are lots of options, including this brand new stripe cashmere sweater, this leopard print cardigan and this longer coatigan by J.Crew, plus the styles below.

3. Blazers

Right now, blazers are everywhere, and the style is to wear them casually with denim. I love my Rag & Bone below, this J.Crew one and this Vince belted leather style. Blazers are really a must-have in any wardrobe!

4. Shoes

Talk about a neutral go-with-everything shoe! Try anything from a simple mule to a snake print bootie, and you’ll wear them on repeat. I love this new Marc Fisher bootie, and this higher heel bootie by Veronica Beard is so chic.

5. Accessories

The necessary final touch to any outfit! Consider a camel bag, which is a modern timepiece, or a super soft cashmere scarf. These are the little details that complete an outfit and make you look polished from head to toe!
